Re: Bob Cornuke and Rob Wyatt Cranksterism
Now someday someone may come up with some evidence that would lead me to change that position. I freely admit that.
Thank you jar, you are far more reasonable a man than I thought. I am sorry for judging you.
That is the common atribute between us. There is no evidence, as yet, that can compete with my experience (meeting God as Jesus promised we could). So I will confess that I am a fundamentalist (with an open mind). I would have to place you in the same catagory with the only difference being, that you haven't met God (as Jesus promised we could) and therefore we are at odds in our fundamental positions.
Please refrain from viewing the Christian position as a fundamentalist position (in a derogatory sense) in the future, since all positions are fundamental by definition.
The only non-fundamental position is that of the non-opinionated!
I do think I understand. May we heal some wounds for the sake of honesty and simply watch the story of the latest attempt to document Noah's Ark, as it unfolds.
Thank you, and may God richly bless you, Rob

there are extreme right positions, extreme left position, and everything in the middle. fundamentalism is an extremist position -- jar is more of a moderate.
not all opinions are fundamentalist, i assure you.

Off topic but gotta respond.
Please refrain from viewing the Christian position as a fundamentalist position (in a derogatory sense) in the future, since all positions are fundamental by definition.
Since I am a Christian of course I do not see the Christian position in a derogatory fashion.
I do see the Fundamentalist, Evangelical, Young Earth, Biblical Creationist, belief in the flood, belief in the Conquest of Canaan as described in Joshua, belief in Exodus as described in the Bible, belief that all are fallen or original sin positions in a derogatory manner.
I see those as a misuse of the gifts GOD gave us and the charges he has made, as blasphemy and a supreme act of hubris.

Re: Imperial Debunker
Since you claim to be the imperial debunker of it all I would require a GD between you and me. You said you have the archived refutations of everything by you. Produce them in GD opener and we'll have it out, you and me. I'm off to bed now and out of town much of tomorrow, but you can go ahead and produce your stuff.

jar is more of a moderate.
Then he really doesn't have a problem that I interpret the words of our Lord differently than the two of you?
He doesn't strongly disagree?
Spinning a web are we?
Do you have an opinion on the outcome of this noah's Ark story?

which one? the new one? i haven't seen anything about it. though, i'd have to say, it'd be unlikely.

though, i'd have to say, it'd be unlikely.
The easiest thing to bet on is the skeptical angle, becasue all things are always doubtable...
Rene Descartes... 'the only thing I can't doubt, is that there is a doubter doing the doubting.'
Some people need to be there... The rest can go there...
He who has an ear, let him hear...
Noah and his ark were as real as the sea! This latest story might not prove it. but it won't disprove it either!

Allow me to quote myself.
Myself writes
quote:
Not only enough room for those 10 million+ species but also enough supplies to keep them healthy and ready to repopulate the planet for 40 days and 40 nights. That means that there would be enough room to keep whole herds of herbivores to keep the carvnivores happy, lots and lots of plants to keep the herbivores happy, top of the line electric full spectrum lightings for the cold blooded animal to bask under, lots and lots of decaying stuff to keep the creepy crawly stuff happy, enough fresh water to keep everyone and everything happy... you get the idea.
You see, some of us actually have very good reasons to ignore the flood story.

Of course not! After all Jesus was a reasonable guy... 'Hey whatever makes you happy man!' I can't remember chapter and verse, but I'm sure He said it.
Some people think He was a fanatic, even demon posessed. They pretend that that is why He was crucified. But we all know it was because he got along with everyone and told people what they wanted to hear.
For example, He said, 'Scripture cannot be broken'. Which means that Noah's Ark is a true story!
What? I'm confused...
LOL

If you could actually give a reference for that, people would be able to examine the context, and then have a better idea as to whether it has any implications for the "Noah's Ark" story.
