Strange date formats
It might seem a bit paranoid of me, but I can't help wondering why all the dates on any page on the board are formatted with what seems an abbreviation of my moniker where dashes should be. It only happens when I am logged in. For example, the page I am on now displays the date my current session began as "30ParasJulParas2009 05:41 PM"
Anyone else noticed something similar?

Your separator had somehow gotten set to "Paras"
In that case I think I know what happened. I use PasswordMaker, an add-on of Firefox, to log in on pages. It's a great add-on, but it has one glitch: if it sees a page with login fields on it, it tends to fill all non-password fields with my login name. I recently changed something in my profile and I think PasswordMaker filled the separator field with as many character of my login name as would fit.
Thanks for finding it, Percy.

Wounded King?

I really like this feature! It makes it much easier to navigate through a particular sub-discussion within the thread.
I may be overlooking something, but I don't see the point of this feature, or it must be as a list of posters in order of activity in the thread. But why would I ever want to see one participant's contributions to a discussion only? It's like listening to half a telephone conversation. (And in most cases much less than that, actually.)
It's because I hold you in high regard, WK, that I would like to know how you find it useful. Could you explain?

OK, I understand.
Good points, both of you. (Yes, Modulous, my esteem for you is high too.)
I especially liked WK's last reason. I just hope he found what he went looking for in time.
Sorry if my general post to both of you ruins your filtering strategy in some way. But thanks for the explanations.

Three cheers for Percy!
Percy's new feature is:
  • nice
  • neat
  • nifty
It's also:
  • wonderful
  • way cool
  • wicked
Etiam est:
  1. iucundus
  2. mundus
  3. dolosus
Et:
  1. prodigiosus
  2. magnus frigus
  3. pravus
The only thing I'd like changed about the Latinate lists is the alignment of the numerals, like this:
I. First
   II. Second
   III. Third

Re: Three cheers for Percy!
Imagine how your mechanic might react when you ask him to move the steering wheel from the left to the right side of your car.
Shhh... think of the Brits seeing this.
I have no idea how you do these things, Percy, but if it's not all CSS tinkering, how about mirroring the numerals, then pasting the required number of spaces in front of them, and then mirroring the resulting strings again? Would that be possible?

Re: Three cheers for Percy!
The browser has complete control over list marker alignment.
How do you feed it the Roman numerals? Or does the browser create them itself? If it doesn't, can't you feed it strings you've prepared yourself?
