Problems Posting with Win7/IE8
I just sent you an email on this, because I haven't been able to bring this to your attention through the forum:
quote:
I am unable to post any messages or to edit my existing message. Whenever I click on the Preview or Submit button, I get an error page that says: "Error: Dispatch table lookup failure, control does not exist: "
It was working last night, but hasn't worked since I first logged in this morning around 11 AM PDT. I see that others are able to post messages.
I'm using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8.
DWise1
Since others are obviously still able to post, I fired up Ubuntu and logged in via FireFox. That does work.

Re: Problems Posting with Win7/IE8
I just tried to reply via IE8. Still broken.
I'm a software engineer, primarily embedded. I understand what you're going through.

Lemme see.
Yes, that did it for replying.
Also for previewing.
Looks like that's got it. Thanks!

Pardon me for being half-Scottish (the other half is mainly Irish, so that doesn't help ye none), but what is this fuckin' shite about our editting a message and suddenly we have to figure out just what forum we're in?

Five Days Later, Still Broken!
IE7 running on XP Pro. I try to reply and I still get this:
Error: Dispatch table lookup failure, control does not exist: Submit Reply
I reported it to you via email on Thursday and it's still broken.
The only way I'm able to post this is because I found an old copy of FireFox on my system buried under a thick layer of dust.
BTW, I have in the meantime closed IE and rebooted the entire system.

Re: Five Days Later, Still Broken!
Followed the procedure. Got the same error indications.
Can you verify whether you have compatibility mode set?
I've never fiddled with anything having to do with compatibility mode. And most certainly not in the recent past. How do I even check that?

Re: Five Days Later, Still Broken!
I don't like the FireFox display. Harder to read.
Anyway, I'm at home now, IE8.

Re: Five Days Later, Still Broken!
I don't see such an icon. But now I'm at home with IE8, which does work.

Re: Five Days Later, Still Broken!
Nothing in Tools Menu about compatibility mode.
And no "broken book" icon to be found either.
