Method
The Jews had a way to keep grape 'juice' from fermenting. Perhaps they had a way to keep water from getting yucky? Just a thought.

Re: Well, ok then
be like that. and when the thing tips over and you wind up in the dunk...wait a minit, are we in the same boat? Is this similar to 'no room to rumba in a sports car?' And where there is a will there's a way? I hate to tell you this.......well, in that case, I just won't tell you. Is Noah an ancestor of yours and that is why you have this thing about the ark? jes asken! 'cause somethin's sure goin' on with you an' that flat-bottomed barge.

I should love
to get your drift. Like my friend Ap always says....."I'm slow on the uptake." A looooooooooooong time ago, I knew this character who took kayak lessons in a pool. He said it's really important to know how to roll. I understood that instantly. Brioche is like tea and crumpets and not for cool caballeros like us. We use cactus and scrub for our reclining comfort, and Pecos has buffalo on his private ark. He don't know.......what is buffaloes? hehe! Mukluks are not known in our parts, we're more into thongs made of rattlesnake skins, or corduroy.

I see and
understand. I've absorbed some punches, good friend, as have you. I duck when I see one coming, and when I know my punchers, I avoid them, especially when I'm able. What is the better part of valor? Running? (LOL) There are many ways to run - circles around an enemy. To get into the mind of the enemy is to defeat it. It's time well-spent. Right? What's more, I move on my terms. Don't you? I know you do. It's that captain of my ship thing.

Food source?
I hope no one claims there was not food source. Let me make the matter a little more complex, the animals came on board two by two, but those considered 'clean', came by sevens. Guess why?

Re: what's it to you?
noddin', it's noddin' to me, as you know. The flood story is meaningless to me - it has nothing to do with the plan of salvation. Neither does the fact that Saul was a bad king, and that Saul became a disciple. I've never used it for scare tatics, others may have. In the end....'all things work together for those who believe in God'. That will include the flood story, and all other stories and examples found in scripture. That's how it is for some folks and not for others and that is how it is supposed to work.
