Maybe Brad McFall can follow this?
For lack of a better place, I'll put it in this topic.

Re: It's an activity meter - Hint for Percy
Maybe Percy can change the column heading from "Topic/Originator" to "Topic/Originator/Activity Meter" and hopefully make things clear once and for all.

Added by edit: BTW, the meter is messages in the last 48 hours. The meter pegs out at 50 messages. The meter does not show for closed topics.

Media alert via Panda's Thumb - Coulter and Carlin on Leno tonight, and more
Source: Page not found · GitHub Pages
We have some interesting events coming up on TV and radio: two interviews that pit the wise against outrageous fools.
* Tonight (Wednesday), Jay Leno is having two special guests on his show. Ann Coulter, who is plugging her new anti-evolution, anti-freethought, anti-thought book of hate, is going to be on, and most wonderfully, with her will be George Carlin, of the famous irreverent irreligiousness and sharp, searing wit. Let's hope for fireworks.
* Friday, at 3:15 ET, on NPR's Science Friday . it's Chris Mooney, author of The Republican War on Science and advocate of good science, will be paired up with Tom Bethell, author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science, who most infamously said, "Darwin's theory, I believe, is on the verge of collapse . Natural selection was quietly abandoned, even by his most ardent supporters, some years ago."
These could be great fun. Tune in!

It's at 10:35 pm here in the central time zone.
I think it's at 10:30 or 10:35, or 11:30 ot 11:35 pm, depending on where you are.
Plus delays some places, because of the hockey game.

Pretty bland and worthless. The Nashville music convention stuff and the singer at the end were the highlights of the show.
I had heard the Carlin stand up routine before, and he didn't have much to say beyond that. The interesting tidbits - He's 69 and has made 144 (as I recall) appearances on the Tonight Show, going way back.
Coulter didn't say much, although I wonder if having Carlin sitting next to her may have muted her. If she had said anything outrageous, the person to harpoon her was at hand.
