Can you actually post without being registered anymore? The log-on message suggests (something like) "most forums require registration".Isn't it actually ALL now?

No, you have to uninstall 7 and it rolls back to 6 (wow tabbed broswing!!)I'll get you some screen grabs of that character encoding problem and some more details a bit later.

I'm sure someone mentioned this but is there any chance of a facility for private messages? (this could be limited to a 5 message limit or the like for space considerations).On forums where I have moderated those have been very useful - they can act as a sort of invisible social glue. It allows people to say "don't you think you are being a little harsh there...." without a thread being dragged down into "no he wasn't being harsh and here are the 50,000 previous threads that prove my point". It allows people to say "hey I realise that my words could come across a little harsh and I'm sorry about that" - something that people struggle with in an open forum for a number of reasons.

It's about site stats but there that's in a locked forum and I only want to make a small observation so it's not worth a thread of it's own. It's interesting how we have logs of "Old-style arpanet". I guess that's a quirk in the log program? Or are people still out there?

I like the cool blue - is it staying or are you just trying some different things out?
