Re: Enough folk.
Explain what is wrong with this post. Am I out of line saying what is true. Why does Faith get a free ride? Faith can attack and criticize with no retribution, but I explain in clear coherent terms why this is unjust and I am proclaimed the bad guy???? What is up with that?
I have no idea what you are talking about. You were not proclaimed the bad guy.
If you'll go back and read my message I said "the last 21 messages".
This is degenerating into a playground "He said - She said - Billy did it first" discussion.

Re: This is a dodge.
First, there is no one standard of moderation. Each moderator is unique and independant. There are often disagreements between mods on what tactics to take.
1) Is there a policy to give Faith special or different treatment to the rest of us?
Fundamentalists, Young Earth Creationists and Evangelicals, not just Faith but in general, are given greater leeway than Atheists, Evolutionists (including Theists Evolutionists) or Agnostics. The later are held to higher standards.
2) If the answer to 1 is yes - then the next logical question is why?
I can only voice here what I have said to the other moderators. It is only my position, and does not imply that any of the other mods agree with it.
I believe that people such as I described in the former group constitute a large percentage of the general population. We need to be constantly reminded of their presence, their beliefs, their capabilities and limitations. They should be allowed pretty much free rein so that those characteristics may be demonstrated to all.

Re: My turn as grass = IANO & Abortion thread
I went back over the exchange and while I agree that iano is using quotes out of context to avoid dealing with the issue, I believe the bigger issue is that you failed to make clear what you were asking.
It appears that you are trying to get more information about the following quote.
While under a local anaesthetic{sic}, an epileptics scalp was lifted away and the cranium opened to allow the surgeon direct access to the brain. Using an electrical probe, he touched that part of the brain which made the right hand move. As the hand moved he said to the patient "You moved your right hand" The patient replied "No, you did" Evidently the mans(sic) self awareness was not directly related to the brain. The surgeon then directed the patient to will his hand not to move. The patient agreed to resist moving it in his mind and as the hand began to twitch due to the application of the electrical probe, the patients{sic} left hand reached over and stopped the right hand from moving. The physician could control the brain but the mind of the patient, which trancended{sic} the brain, moved the left hand to stop it.
The surgeon couldn't control the mind - only the brain
You never clearly asked iano to support that assertion and provide the details of the incident.
The quotation itself is of interest because it clearly shows the thinking and comprehension levels of the audience. Anyone who could accept such a quotation as being valid IS severely limited and does deserve extra cconsideration.

Re: My turn as grass = IANO & Abortion thread
You are expected to be able to make your questions understandable by the other person.
You needed to include the quote and tie your questions directly to that. Remember, you are speaking to someone who didn't simply fall down laughing at the absurdity of the quotation in the first place.

Re: I honestly don't know how to respond to that..
What you seem to be insinuating is that Iano is slightly retarded and that we should all take into account.
Not at all. What I'm saying is that iano, if he accepted the quotation, has a fundamentally different view of evidence and possible conclusions than you do. To communicate, things have to be said in a manner that the listener can understand. I honestly believe that iano simply does not understand what you are asking. If you want to converse with him you need to try rephrasing things in a manner he can understand.
