Blocking someone
No matter how amicable, calm or collected I try to be with a certain poster here, he is insistent on being combative to the point where reason and fairness is an impossible task.
Is there any function on this forum where you can personally block certain individuals from harassment?

Some people feel the need to run off and tattle to Daddy and some have self-respect. We're all different.

Re: Experiencing Faith
This causes many of her threads to self-destruct in an explosion of what to many appear to be uninstigated recriminations. Faith usually quickly recovers from these episodes.
Somebody once said to me about a woman who constantly screams at her children, "Her anger is explosive, but it doesn't last long," as if to minimize the transgression because of its brevity.
To which I responded, "Wanna know what else is explosive, but doesn't last long? A fucking hand grenade! But it sure does a whole lot of damage in that short amount of time, doesn't it?"
I'm beginning to see why she was suspended for so long. And please don't get me wrong, as I am not advocating that she be jailed so soon after being paroled but, damn! That kind of toxic anger will rot the soul. Converts must be lining up around the corner!

I find Dr. A tame compared to Rrhain, the world's biggest asshole. Dr. A is prone to sarcasm and a witty, sardonic humor. If people can't take it they can opt not to discuss anything with him. You want to see somebody change? Ignore them. They'll take the hint when their dialogue has turned in to a monologue.

You really think so?
I give you this as a counter to that line of reasoning

Re: People who can't take a hint
Give him a thread, Percy, and let's see what we can learn.
Hmmmm, I don't know if that is such a good idea. It's one thing to give a thread to an egotistical ass just to teach them a lesson, but if this individual is truly mentally ill as you say, I don't think it is wise to add to his paranoia, not only for his own safety but for the safety of others around him.
Paranoid schizophrenics already have a break with reality, so no amount of reasoning is going to overpower how his sick mind processes thoughts. I've been around enough of them to know that nothing will convince them otherwise of a thought they've manufactured without medication and treatment.
By giving them a platform we not only unwittingly feed in to the delusions of grandeur but also validate their paranoia (see, I told you they're all against me!). We might only inflame his paranoia and he may end up hurting someone in his proximity. That may happen anyway without our help, but I don't see any benefit (either to us or himself) in even engaging in conversation with a person who cannot think rationally to begin with.
I say just let him alone and keep treating it as spam.

Freedom hater
Why do you hate freedom so much, Rrhain? Are you honestly that weak?

Re: Rights hater
Hey, Hyro...long time no battles.
Indeed! Glad you're back.
Onifre is funny--seriously funny; his gay-baiting isn't.
Onifre is the least homophobic person you will ever meet. The word "gay" has taken on many meanings. And when he says it, he means it in the new vernacular of ghey, which roughly translates to "lame."
Why do you despise people who stand up for their rights so much? Are you really that hateful?
Here's the critical difference: Rrhain went off and tattled to Moose, requesting censorship. Instead of handling it like a champ, with non-violent protest and discourse at the lowest level (the source of the problem), he chooses instead to tattle like a petulant child.
And quite frankly, that's ghey...
