Report discussion problems here: No.2

This post is in response to AdminNosy's warning to erikp in "What is a Theory?", here. I agree with AdminNosy's decision that Erik was out of line, but, in all fairness, I don't think Rrhain is innocent. Although Rrhain may not have meant it as an insult, "You don't know what a _______ is" really does sound just as personally insulting as what Erik said.On the whole, I think Erik has been a fairly polite and patient poster, and I don't think he would have started throwing insults if people hadn't been pushing his buttons. Granted, his argument is infuriating, but it wasn't insulting until he was insulted first.

I think the thread about the evolution of morality is kind of spinning out of control. Cedre's last post, as well as his new avatar, evoked a lot of personal attacks from several members.In my opinion, given my personal experience with him, Cedre deserves most of the comments he's getting. But, I think the thread could use the presence of a moderator to keep it in line.Edited by Admin, : Fix link.

I think it's obvious that Reduction of Alleles by Natural Selection (Faith and ZenMonkey Only) is over.Some other masochistic soul can take over, or you can open it up to the general community, but I think it's been made abundantly clear that Faith is either (1) not intellectually developed enough to confine her thinking to real logic or (2) not interested in honest discussion of the topic.To me, I think she certainly has the intelligence to grasp the concept, and I think she realizes that major blow her worldview has taken from a simple paper about a beneficial mutation in a bacterium. However, she is now trying to use shear force of will to assert her own beliefs onto the world around her, and I have no intention of playing with that fire.
