Sorry, Phage0070, I can't help you. Dr Adequate is a a master of sarcasm and irony, and he has the advantage over most of us in these aspects of rhetoric. He's been suspended many times, but I don't think he's crossed the threshold yet in that thread. I look for a pattern or sequence of messages where substance is almost or completely absent and mostly just style is left.

As he ever shown the slightest sign of either remorse or changing his behaviour from his many suspensions? I can't see any sign of it. This being so, what's the point?

Good question. Hopefully comments like this will help Dr Adequate see that he's alienating even those who share his opinions.
But in Dr A's defense, when he's so inclined his contributions are rational and based upon evidence, so like many of us he's a mixed bag, though maybe his opposite poles are further apart than most.

I don't know if we're allowed to chime in on this thread...
But I find Dr. A's posts to all be worth reading. Especially when he's being a cynical asshole, because most of the time the people he's doing it to deserve it. But like Percy points out, he's very good at it and it's hard to get one over on him. This is why people complain, because he's so good at it that it comes off as him being a bully.
But that's always the case...the weak complain about the strong to people with authority. And sometimes the authority answers with, "I can't help you." That was awesome, Percy.

Dr. A writes brilliantly when he wents to, and can be funny when he's being obnoxious to our Creo friends but, in my view, he's excessively rude and his confrontationally obnoxious manner actively inhibits the kind of discussion that this site is supposed to foster.

Fair enough. I personally don't see it that way. I find his obnoxiousness warrented and directed at those who specifically deserve it - (For example, he and cavediver debated a bit recently in the Objective Reality thread and not once did he resort to that type of behavior) - just pointing that out.
He gets suspended when he does go overboard, and personally I would hate to see him banned. As a fellow cynical ahole, I just thought I'd speak up on his behalf. But I do see your point, Mr. Jack.

I find Dr. A tame compared to Rrhain, the world's biggest asshole. Dr. A is prone to sarcasm and a witty, sardonic humor. If people can't take it they can opt not to discuss anything with him. You want to see somebody change? Ignore them. They'll take the hint when their dialogue has turned in to a monologue.

Sure, why not. I'll transfer this one to Free For All and unsuspend Mr. Mabus, but he'll only have posting privileges in Free For All.
But you do realize, I hope, that he isn't rational? That like a zombie you can run him through and he won't even notice?
AbE: Whoops, too late, the thread's gone. I'll wait for the next one, shouldn't take long.

Re: People who can't take a hint
He's a Canadian schizophrenic called Dennis Markuze. He's a "prophet", of course, and it might be interesting and educational for those of our members who are followers of ancient "prophets" to see one in action, so I agree with Coyote.
He comes with death threats for those who disagree, but that, as those familiar with some ancient scriptures will know, is nothing new.
We're often dealing with delusions here, both cultural and personal. The interesting thing, for me, is that I can never find an exact line that separates, for example, a John A. Davison (I think you played host to him before my time) and guys like this. There probably isn't one. Crank to crank/nutter to nutter.
Give him a thread, Percy, and let's see what we can learn. (I can tell you that he certainly won't take any "hints")!
