Welcome to the Fray

Not in ANY way to suggest that I haven't been warned and excused on excess, I would like to apologize and submit that I am here to learn. I, however, will not be treated with contempt and refuse to be the victim of special alienation due to any character flaws I may possess. I apologize now and ask that I be granted due participation, uninterrupted; unless in clear and unprovoked violation of rules, in this wonderful forum.
I don't believe that anyone here intends to insult your person. However, you must remember that you are debating science, philosophy, religion, and even on occasion politics, with, if not the greatest minds on the planet (an understatement), at least some of the most passionately involved minds on the planet concerning these great questions.
Your ego will be bruised in the process, as it has happened to anyone who has hung around here long enough. This is part and parcel of the process of learning. Learning that there are other perspectives, other philosophies, other religions. If nothing else, the grindstone of Evc will inevitably sharpen the sword of critical thinking, regardless of your position on the greatest questions concerning existence.
Please continue to view this forum as an opportunity to learn, as opposed to preach some self-assumed absolute truth that is only shared by you and God alone.
Personally, I believe that if you are serious about your intent, you are beginning a long journey toward wisdom. A journey that requires humility, attention, and the gathering of knowledge about all things that is beyond the capability or desire of most humans that are satisfied with being average.
