And the evidence just keeps mounting:
Or there could be a simple explanation.

Wow. Thanks for pointing that out, Chi.
I got no dog in that fight, tho.
Geology is way out of my league!
I suppose HEWG will be the resident creo wingnut until he tires of his continual suspensions.

Shilling
Is there any stated policy against 'shilling'? A suggestion is that you might include it into the rules or code of conduct.
If the term is unfamiliar...
"Shilling" refers to the use of the board's resources, membership list, PM system, etc. to communicate in any form on behalf of a banned member.
Edited by EighteenDelta, : definition of shilling

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves that You exist, and so therefore, by Your own arguments, You don't. Q.E.D."
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.
"Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.

Sure it is. We're pointing out that Vashgun is exhibiting behavior that looks like deliberate troll behavior (rather than honest ignorance, lunacy, or unfamiliarity with logic). This is the sort of thing that warrants moderator action. Where else would anyone point out that someone seems to be deliberately disruptive? Moose already warned us not to bring it up in the thread itself.
Edited by Chiroptera, : emphasize deliberate

I could tell you what I've read about evolution, the big-bang, super-universes, quantum foam, and all that stuff. Eventually you'd ask a question I can't answer, then I'd have to go look it up. Even If I had the time for that shit, in the end you'd ask a question science hasn't answered yet. So let's save time and skip ahead to "I don't know." -- jhuger

Re: On Rob's extended suspension
Not to incite further repercussions, but did you read my edited post and the reason for it in "converting raw energy into biological energy?" I deleted the text of my post and replaced it with an explanation of why to prevent this type of action against Rob. If I was out of line in doing so, admonish, suspend, or ban me according to your forum rules, not Rob.

Re: extended suspension
I support Admin's action in "raw energy" thread. The action appears to have been taken after due consideration and the expectations appear to be clearly and fairly laid out.

Okay, I see the impression that Rob asked you to post on his behalf was incorrect. I'll reduce his suspension. Welcome aboard!

An example of why the double standard is needed.
I agree with Moose's suspension of bluegenes even though there is a high probability that what he said is the truth, while allowing Ray to continue pointless and false accusations in thread after thread. We know that the evo's are capable of behaving in a civilized manner and so they should be held to a higher standard.

Re: An example of why the double standard is needed.
I believe the suspension is unwarranted. A warning for being off-topic would have been more appropriate IMO.

I am begging you, admins.
Please corral HEWG.
Here's one of his latest "replies":
If geologists ran into something supernatural they would use ways to naturally explain it, or they would deny it. You think these scientists are objective truth telling machines who are massively equipped with the highest state of morals and ethics. If they ain't getting no grant money fo' day work cuz uncle bob thinks Godidit, well hell, theys goin' ta find nother way of splainin' things.
Please?
PS -- It's the Polystrata Fossils thread. I'd link to it, but I can't figure out the "thread number" thingy mentioned on dBCodes. I've looked all over the place. Where do I find this mysterious thread number?

Where do I find this mysterious thread number?
I don't know if it's in a more obvious place but I always find it in the URL for the thread, for example:
action=r&f=19&t=469&rtm=55
Forum=19
Thread=469
Message=55

Hi molbiogirl,
One place to find the thread number is in the url of your browser. There are three numbers representing the forum, thread and message as appropriate depending on the link you followed to get there.
This one is thread no. 469.
As for HEWG, I have been having issues with him myself. I haven't been following the Polystrata fossils thread, but I'll have a look at it now.
TTFN,
AW

Heh. That ain't nothing. From the People - I /was/ a Christian thread:
Well I hope the best for you while you burn in hell. I prefer mild warmth personally.
And he's been as bad on other threads as well. Will someone remind me again why we suspended Rob?

HEWG is doing all he can
He is simply behaving like the typical Biblical Christian. We need to understand that behavior such as his is the norm and about all they are capable of. It is unrealistic to expect any different behavior from a YEC or Biblical Christian.
