Hang on, let me get this straight. So, if Adminmoose decides to rally support from the other admins, they could permanently ban you and take over the forum?
Regarding the power hierarchy, all moderators have equal power.

Good observation. When I was still a lurker here, jar would write long explanations to work with newbies. Nowadays, I see more "you're just wrong" type of answer from him. I notice a lot of the old-timers are getting less tolerant, and who could blame them for having to explain misconceptions for the umteenth time. The only old timer who hasn't lost it is none other than Percy. Heck, even I have lost it and I'm still somewhat in the newbie category. This makes me wonder what sort of person he is or what he looks like. He appears to be several levels above the average joe. In fact, he appears to be several levels above the typical intellectual. Percy, if you are reading this, any chance of posting a picture or perhaps tell us a little about yourself?

If this is who I suspect, the suspension will be a banning.

I respectfully ask the admins to allow Rob to continue posting his ideas in this thread without being warned or censored. Can't you see the tactic he's been using?
Everytime there's a science thread that he's interested enough to say something about it, he declares himself to be an expert in such topic and then you folks censored him, giving lurkers the impression that you are sencoring him for his "dangerous" cosmic wisdom. I for one would like to see what he has to offer in regard to the topic. For example, while trying to bring morality into string and M-theory is obviously off topic, I think we should at least allow him to explain what M-theory has to do with morality. I really appreciate you guys working hard to keep people on topic, but at the same time you are playing right into his cards. Disclaimer: Occasionally, owing to the deficiency of the English language, I have used he/him/his meaning he or she/him or her/his or her in order to avoid awkwardness of style. He, him, and his are not intended as exclusively masculine pronouns. They may refer to either sex or to both sexes!

I don't agree. The OP in that thread asks people if M theory is valid or not and why. Rob said that it's not a valid theory because it undermines morality. I know it's a long shot, but I'm sure Rob has an explanation to (1) what M theory has to do with morality and (2) why undermining morality makes a theory invalid.

I'm just curious. Do you purposely not hit the shift button to save time, to distinct your writing style from the rest of us, because you know some of us (me for instance) are annoyed by the lack of capitalization, or because there is some other great purpose for the great scheme of things I haven't thought of? i always use proper capitalization at work. but this is play.

It's not just the fast reading that gives you trouble. I read fairly slowly and no capitalization also gives me trouble. Honestly, I have to use more mental power and concentration to read and understand a post that has no capitalization. You can call it a disability if you want. I have to read twice or thrice to mentally process a post with no capitalization. And since it takes me a lot more time to read such posts, I've been ignoring them.
I can't remember the last time I read arachnophilia's posts. I've been ignoring him for so long... With bren's posts, I only read them if there are 3 lines or less. Anymore than that and I just skip right over them. It just takes too much mental effort to absorb them... It's not like I'm asking you to WRITE LIKE THIS. it's actually just because capital letters are harder for me to read and are less attractive. Ok, so let me see if I get this right. You've said before that to you capital letters are ugly and that the smaller letters are more pleasing to your eyes. Now, look at the following sentence written in two different ways.
(1) X-Men 3 The Last Stand is the best movie in the trilogy. (2) x-MEn 3 tHe lASt sTaND iS THe beST MoViE iN thE tRilOgY. According to your last statement, these two sentences look essentially the same to you, correct? In other words, any capitalization at all within the sentence, whether it's the beginning, middle, or end of the sentence, would make you see the whole sentence in a similar format as (2)? I suggest you just give up on this one. Obviously, some people don't see anything wrong with killing innocent people in certain contexts. And also obviously, we can't really say anything more than "why is it a bad thing? Because it's obviously a bad thing..." Sometimes ignorance can be a mitigating circumstance, but no circumstance can ever remove the immorality of, for instance, killing an innocent child. Just do what I do and sit tight waiting for them to die of old age We are BOG. Resistance is voltage over current. To tell you the truth, I have been noticing AdminPD to have been somewhat over flexing her muscles lately. Whether she thinks she's being helpful to newbies or whether she is just confusing one person to another, I don't know. Many would agree with me that Adminmoose has always been the toughest moderator on these boards, and yet things that don't bother Adminmoose seem to bother AdminPD. Perhaps she's trying to overtake Adminmoose's reputation?

Is it me or people who are fundamentalist christians
tend to write like this? You know, they write like this is some kind of chat window and when they move on to another paragraph, they only hit enter once rather than twice. This is due to a disability, though. Ringo has described an almost obsessive/compulsive behavior when reviewing his messages for errors before posting them. I do. In fact, the only time she ever told anyone on this board of her gender was the time someone implied that... never mind. Why the hell do I care anyway? I don't recall Ringo ever stating what gender s/he is.
