Go to Tools=>Internet Options and click on "Delete..." under "Browing history", then click on "Delete cookies...", then click on "OK".
I've done that too, on both computers, with no change. Just a monkey in a long line of kings. If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! *not an actual doctor

I'm out of ideas. Is it okay if I change your password so I can log into your account?

This is amazing - the code to produce the signature in this way no longer exists. Can you do this consistently? It's as if you have an old version of the software cached on your system.

Is anyone else experiencing similar problems with Internet Explorer randomly logging them off? Who isn't on AOL?

I don't really understand what you're asking with the "Can you do this consistently?". All I know, is that both the admin mode and non-admin mode signatures contain dBoard code for size=1 font text, and it used to always work fine. Now it does not. The following is the result of a copy/paste from my "Update Profile" page (see "peek" for raw text):

Forum Guidelines, Style Guides for EvC, Assistance w/ Forum Formatting, Proposed New (Great Debate) Topics, Official Invitations to Online Chat@EvC I have been using this for quite a while, and my "signature" has always previously been displayed in the size=1 sized font. The really odd thing is, the older messages that once had the size=1 "signature" are no longer size=1. I was very much under the impression that the signature, as formatted, became part of the perminent HTML text, and would not change unless a message edit was done. If a message edit was done, then any newer version of the "signature" would be displayed. I know this, because I once did an "Update Profile" to change my signature to include the current version of the "General discussion of moderation procedures" topic. I then did an edit to an existing message, and the signature was updated to include the new "General..." link. I don't recall if I had to do something like turning the "signature" off and then back on to get this result, or if just doing and edit and submit resulted in the change. The end "signature" is the result of checking the "Show Signature" box. Adminnemooseus Added by edit: I earlier checked one of my old minnemooseus messages, to see what the "signature" was. It was still the old signature, which was considerably different from the current minnemooseus "signature". So, it doesn't seem that all past signatures were updated to be the current signatures. Unless it's just that such an update happens when a new message is posted to the topic. We track down an old minnemoosues "signature" and test such by adding a new message. Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Fixed typo. Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Content added as noted above. Edited by Admin, : No reason given. Insomnia is good for remembering things. I'd forgotten that the sigs are stored in translated form. Resaving your profiles fixed the problem.

It seems to be working for me now.
Er, probably, I was switching the wrong one of the options around or something equally dim. Sorry.

Pre version 2.0, at http://EvC Forum: Evolution Simplified -->EvC Forum: Evolution Simplified, I edited in a somewhat notorious font size=5 message. That message is currently being displayed in the standard size=2. The dBoard code in the raw text (see "Peek" there) is still set to size=5.
Apparently the size code is not having effect (affect?) in the older messages. I suspect an edit bump would restore the font size. Perhaps a "Rebuild Forum Data" at "Board Central" would have the same effect (affect?). Adminnemooseus

Two things.
1) Cookies. I'm still getting an enormous number of cookies from EvC picked up by my Ad-Aware program. It was a thousand something earlier today, a few hundred on a briefer visit. I can't see allowing thousands of cookies to accumulate in my computer and I really don't get this. I did let one batch of 50 or so get through without deleting them, on NWR's advice that maybe it has something to do with how things function when I'm at the site, but after that I'm deleting them. But I don't get it. What is this? 2) Search feature still coughs up a long list of references that do not contain the requested term, plus at least one at the very top that does.

This is actually a bug in the interaction between the code for setting your birthdate in your profile, and the HTML generation code.
I set my birthday to Feb 31, 1886. The Feb 31 caused the error Moose saw. I changed the birthdate to Feb 1, 1886, and got the following error:
Cannot handle date (0, 0, 0, 01, 1, 1886) at DateLib.pm line 713 I've now changed my birthdate to something that seems to eliminate any errors. I assume that these errors would appear in any thread I've posted to within the last (# displayed posts for the fetching user). Ben

My birthdate is set (through the profile page) to 02/01/1917, but it displays as 01/31/2017.
