Four questions for the Admins

Hi, Hoot Mon.I was a moderator for a while. The Admin Forum was about as exciting as watching paint dry--less, really: no fumes.The few occasions when individual posters were discussed occurred when one moderator would ask the others for input: Do you folks think this is a violation of forum rules? Did anybody else notice that person registered for the sixth time? Did I act appropriately here, was there something better I could have done there, etc.Discussions centered around being fair to individuals while maintaining a modicum of forum decorum.The naughtiest thing I can remember is when I observed "Never argue with Holmes when you're tired."And that's still good advice.Eventually, I had to provoke them into throwing me out--who wants to belong to a club that would have me as an officer? Bad for morale all round, and it's more fun to be outside that tent pissing in than inside it, working for nothing, and being pissed at.

Hi Hoot. Yes, members have been discussed in PAF including people like Jar, you and me. For the record, you being one of my favorite members, I was there on your behalf. For the record also, I have been one of the members sometimes highly criticised in PAF by a consensus of prominent admins but here I am a moderator in spite of my unpopularity. I've tried to conform when I can but holding my own when I can't and have been tolerated for 4 plus years so that says quite a bit for the admins and the board at large.I'm on a trip and out in California presently so haven't been on line. Gotta run. Hang in there, my ideological adversary friend.

It is rare for people to question my indomitable will without consequence. This time it will be merely a distant cousin:- one of those short-eared specimens that prowl around here at night - that suffers at my wrath. I am not above travelling should the impertinence grow. The picture depicts the events shortly after a newbie replied to one of my admin posts, arguing about moderator action.
