Author | Topic: Proposal for Moose vs. Frog Great Debate | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Many here have noticed that there have been some clashes between Adminnemooseus and Crashfrog.
This boils down to the point that it is AM's opinion that Crashfrog is part of a significant problem at this forum, in that he posts too many messages. I think this situation has forum wide implications. Frog, care to do a one-on-one discussion of this? I'm really not looking for a "scored" debate, but that can be done, if the masses want such. Hi,
It would be nice to see what this significant problem is, and I think it would be an ejoyable debate, especially if frog tells you to go...... again! LOL Personally, I enjoy probably 99% of the frog's posts, he actually knows how to support his arguments unlike others I could name. But I think it would be a good debate, and one in which both of you will appreciate where the other one is coming from. Brian.

Could you perhaps clarify what the purpose of such a non-EvC debate would be? If you have issues with Crash, maybe you could simply exchange vituperative emails rather than using the venue of this forum? Is there some resolution you expect (i.e., Crash getting mad enough to violate the forum guidelines or going off in a huff and leaving the board, or something)?

I think my posting rate is a little higher than der Frog's and I'm sure the quality isn't any higher in mine.
Does this mean you want to team up against both Frog and myself? Just being nosy you know. (and trying to get another post in to catch up to Crash as well) Common sense isn't

Hi,
I follow most of the debates on this site but hardly ever post. Just my 2 cents as a regular lurker: It is my impression that Adminnemooseus is consciously or unconsciously on some kind of personal vendetta against Crashfrog. I want to stress that this is only my impression, just something that has crossed my mind a couple of times over the last months. Not based on hard facts or keeping track of a score or something. In addition to that I want to say that I find most of Crashfrog's posts very enjoyable. I have learned a lot. I really cant see how he is part of a significant problem on this forum.

If you think that's something, you should research the Adminnemooseus (and Admin) encounters with SLPx.

Hi Adminnemooseus,
if I remember correctly I agreed completely with the way u handled SLPx. Overall I think u (and the other Admins) are doing an excellent job on a difficult task. I only happen to disagree with u in this case Cheers, Dino

Yeah, I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say "vendetta", but I don't really see what the problem is. Crash's posts, while numerous, are almost always entertaining, informative, or both.
It's not like he's spamming the forum; he's just got a lot to say. [This message has been edited by Dan Carroll, 02-04-2004] "It isn't faith that makes good science, it's curiosity." -Professor Barnhard, The Day the Earth Stood Still

Hmmm, are you bored? Or serious? Imo, debating on "he posts too many messages." and that's "significant" is a problem, but not with Crashfrog. So, I have to side with the 'No's' hehe no pun.
As a newbie I find Crashfrog's posts informative and better supported than many. I think this was already said, but bears repeating.

What about a celebrity deathmatch?

I'm voting no. That "Great Debate" is the only one that could make the booger-flicking match 'twixt Dan and me look like a war of wits. Incidentally, Joralex has been seen around town wearing nothing but his ceremonial "Miss EvC" sash, staggering out of Bukowski's with some old slapper in fishnets, God help him.

Actually, today is my birthday and as a present I would like a Moose vs. Frog celebrity deathmatch. Since there is an ad hoc posterior plausibility of 0.99 that I will have a hangover starting tomorrow and lasting several days, I hope to see the results of the match by Monday...my bets are on the amphibian.
Tell Mr. Hambre that next time he sees Joralex to tell him I want my sash back.

Errm, I think you clicked reply under the wrong post, O Large Nosed One. Or at least I hope so. After all, I have 500 more posts than the Moose myownself, and registered two whole months AFTER he did...

Whoo hoo! Happy Birthday O Extinct One! (Someday you'll have to explain how you do that...)

Thanks!..yes I know, it is hard to imagine that an exinct animal can have almost 500 more posts than you..but that says more about you than me ...but getting to the explanation...you just have to use H-D post flatulant plausibility. Even though it is completely unlikely that an extinct elephantid could post on his birthday (also not helped by lacking an opposable thumb), the existence of fat people who can post and can fart as well raises the plausibility from 0.6 to 0.61. Also, the fact that praying agnostically over a can of SPAM does not change its consistency raises the plausibility of completely unrelated things from 0.61 to 0.51 and then back to 0.62..thus I can post on my birthday.
