Original sin is Augustinian and dates from long before the Reformation or even the 1054 East/West split. It is a part of the vast majority of Christian belief systems.However, it does not have to mean "Adam ate this fruit and ever since we've.......". Most non-fundamentalist theologians find it more useful to see original sin in the sense of humans having a selfish imperative. Evolution, incidently, explains extremely well from a scientific POV exactly why that might be - the Australopithecus who gives someone else his food is less likely to be the one ancestral to H. habilis.....

Simple fact - the vast majority of child abusers are heterosexual. Gay men are attracted to other adult men, not children.You really believe that just asking God will make the homosexual heterosexual? Not so; there are a lot of ex-ex-gays out there who will tell you it didn't work.

Oh - and chapter and verse proving that it was homosexuality that got Sodom destroyed would be appreciated.

In other words, there is no verse saying that homosexuality was the sin that got Sodom destroyed. It was sin in general.You quote an example of a desire to gang rape a bunch of angels. Can't really equate that with a committed homosexual relationship can you? If the verse had read that the men of Sodom raped women, would you assume that it was heterosexual sex that got Sodom destroyed?Thank you and good night.

My point is that I don't see what isn't there. My point would stand if they had gang banged the angels. I'll re-read the story tonight an post some thoughts after the weekend.
