Hi Mike,
You are totally correct, you have every right to discuss the subjects here. Talk Origins has some excellent papers on this subject. A timeline can be found here. A list of illustrations and pictures can be found here. Here is a colored graphical timeline for various hominid species.
Maybe you could look through these sites and pick one or two items that you question and some of the more scientifically educated posters here could answer some of your questions.

Hi DC,
I don't mean to critisize, but just as you wouldn't listen to a creationist that used the "believe or else" line, how do you expect to get them to listen to you when you continually get angry sounding and basically call people stupid. An uninformed poster should be a chance to enlighten and debate, not berate and tell them they have no business on this forum.
I have been following almost all of the threads on EvC. I rarely post, but I do hope that I don't come off as a know-it-all and talk down to people. (maybe Mike can answer me on this as I have had a few discussions with him ) I believe that both sides can discuss these issues without resorting to censuring of opinion, no matter how much we may disagree about that opinion.

Hi Mike,
I do enjoy your posts...you are one of the few people here, both sides, who can handle others' bad manners with a laugh. I've never seen you get mad and start dishing it back at people. I might not agree with your opinions but you seem to be one of the few who's opinion matches their actions, and I honestly respect that. You have never "preached" or thrown out Pascal's wager at anyone that I remember.
As for my posting more...I am in way over my head on most of the technical subjects. I mainly come here to learn. I follow just about every link that people put out there and do my debating with myself.

is it only a dream that there'll be
no more turning away?

Re: whatever...
If I remember correctly, only one person on the fishing boat was all that interested in the carcass. The reason it was thrown overboard was that it was a fishing boat...they were worried that the decomposing, stinking carcass would contaminate their catch.
