How to find
The way to start is to look around the topics at the bottom of your message index.

Adminnemooseus first message
This 9/27/02 message is actually at the bottom of my personal message index.
As mentioned there, Minnemooseus did have admin status for a while prior to the Adminnemooseus ID creation. At the top of the cited is what appears to be a admin mode Minnemooseus message dated 2/13/02. Somewhere I probably have some record of when Minnemooseus became an admin, but the mentioned date is only 3 months after the Minnemooseus registration date.
I remember how it happened. I e-mailed Percy offering to help fix coding errors. Much to my surprise, I almost immediately became a full admin.
I don't think the "Director" status existed back then. The current difference between an administrator and a director is that an administrator can cause a lot of damage (delete all the messages etc); A director can do all that plus badly muck up the formatting of what is left. Of course, a director also has enhanced creation powers, such a creating new forums.
But I blather, or something like that.

Too much topic contamination happening
I think this topic has ceased to have sufficient focus, and is probably beyond refocusing.
Going to close, probably in about 15 minutes.
I do think the theme is a good one - I will initiate a "Your First Ever EVC Post - part 2", complete with a link back to this topic.

Admin writes:
It really helps moderators figure out if a topic is disintegrating because of general misbehavior versus someone in particular if the originally non-misbehaving members kept it that way. When everyone is prickly and argumentative and off-topic and personal then it's just too difficult to tell. We have neither infinite time to untie the Gordian knot, nor the wisdom of Solomon.
There used to be a comedian who presented his ideas for a better world, and one of them was to arm everyone on the highway with little rubber dart guns. Every time you see a driver doing something stupid, you fire a little dart at his car. When a state trooper sees someone driving down the highway with a bunch of darts all over his car he pulls him over for being an idiot.
Please make it easy to tell you apart from the idiots. Message 150
