I am researching excerpts from Evolutionists' writings which Duane Gish cites as apologies for paucity of evidence.
I have found information on several of the quotes given in the last chapter of Creation Scientists Answer Their Critics, but I cannot find anything on these:
Ager, D. V. 1976. The nature of the fossil record. Proceedings of the Geological Association 87, 2: 132.
The "evolutionary stories" which Ager heard in school have now been "debunked." Ager has been frustrated in researching the origin of brachiopods.
Begley, S. 1985, Science contra Darwin. Newsweek (April 8): 80.
An Evolutionist, or former Evolutionist, thinks used car salesmen are more honest than Evolutionists.
Carroll, R. L., 1988: Vertebrate paleontology and evolution.
New York: H. Freeman and Co.: 4.
The old refrain: punctuated equilibrium is an apology for lack of transitional fossils.
Gliedman, J. 1982. Miracle Mutations. Science Digest 90 (February 1982): 90-96.
a list of questions which Darwin did not answer.
Goldschmidt, R. 1952. Evolution: As viewed by one geneticist,
American Scientist 40 (January): 84-98.
When a new phylum appears, it rapidly diversifies.
The horse lineage is in abrupt steps.
Leith, B. 1981. Are the reports of Darwin's death exaggerated? The Listener 2730 (8 October): 390, 392.
I don't remember where I got this one.
I can't find it this time.
Ridley, M. 1980. [untitled article]. Nature 286 (August 28): 444.
bemoans the lack of transitional fossils and is unsatisfied even with Gould and Eldredge's explanation.
Schwabe L. & Warr, G. C. W. 1984. Perspectives in Biology and Medicine[/b] 27, 3: 468, 474.
Do genes really change or did the original genes have the potential for change? (This is probably where Safarti got the idea.)
Todd, G. T. 1980. Evolution of the lung and the origin of bony fishes: A casual relationship. American Zoologist 26, 4: 757.
asks about the origin of the first bony fish
Valentine, J. W. 1985. The evolution of complex animals. in Godfrey, L., ed. What Darwin began: 263.
sees a lack of connection between phyla and classes
Zuckerman, 1970. Beyond the ivory tower: 64, 75-94.
seems to imply that there is a lack of fossil record of human evoluion
Also, I'd like to have a copy of this:
Dietz, R. S. 1983. Gish's law. Geotimes 28, 8: 11-12.
I am in South Korea, where nobody has ever heard of interlibrary loan.
I can't find anything on these items except in Creationist Websites.
If you could give me any information on the context of these quotes, I would appreciate it.
Or if you're generous enough to copy some of these items and mail them to me, I would really appreciate it.

Yes. Many of Gish's nuggets were listed there.
These are the ones which were left over.

No, thanks. It's not worth $18 to me.
I did, however, order his book entitled "The Problems of Evolution."
With the overseas shipping costs, that came out to $18 too, but I get more for my money.
Judging from the title, it seemed like a good book for people who are always getting in arguments with Creationists.
Has anyone read it?
