Once I hit high school I discovered metal, then thrash metal - that was the end of my "gangsta" era.
I went to college and regressed to Hendrix, the Stones, Velvet Underground and a whole host of other retro stuff as well as REM, Chilli Peppers and the other simlar not-quite-pop stuff of that era. Then grunge in the form of Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden were obligatory for anyone my age (at least anyone white who had stopped pretending to be black). Was still listenin to the Ices T and Cube on the gangsta front though. Plus some rap/rock stuff of the Rage Against The Machine type.
Then during my young teacher years the whole Britpop thing kicked off. Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, Charlatans, Radiohead etc. etc. etc. etc. I have always been a keen festival goer and have seen pretty much all of these bands live at their peak. Musically I have never really got over that particular era in truth. I probably never will now.
White Stripes, Radiohead and Kasabian are probably my current favourite bands. Make of that what you will.

Anyway to cut a long story short I still get together with some of my fellow old school "wiggas" and pump out the PE from time to time.
I'd like to see that.
Nahhhhhh. You really wouldn't!!!
