Hi dwise1,
Somebody needs to point him to the recent discussion of cladistics so that he can understand why his "but they're still fruitflies!" complaint is so incredibly lame. Indeed. And also mention that evolution is observed in every generation of every species. But the likely problem will be hat because he doesn't understand evolution that he won't know even when he is told. Cognitive dissonance is like that. Enjoy.by our ability to understand Rebel American Zen Deist ... to learn ... to think ... to live ... to laugh ... to share. That's a false dichotomy. He's real and a joke.
I look forward to the promotion of his thread. Arguably I am not a nice person.

I suspect that once you get out of, say, for example, the IQ bracket 95-105, that the error term and confidence of your estimate deteriorates rapidly.
So I vote 165+ = a joke.- xongsmith, 5.7d

Of course, we're just relying on his own claim of 165 I.Q. I certainly see nothing in his post to support that claim.

The problem with IQ tests is their inability to test innate intelligence. IQ tests can only measure how intelligently someone thinks using the knowledge they have.
Based upon his knowledge of grammar and how to construct contractions in the English language ("Ok, lets do this systematic"), we'll subtract 20 points to give him an IQ of 145. Based upon his knowledge of evolution ("It was because of fossils that the first evolutionist came into being..."), we'll subtract another 20 points to give him an IQ of 125. Based upon his misuse of words ("For there own gain"), we'll subtract another 20 points to give him an IQ of 105. Based upon his invocation of Genesis, the Bible, God and Satan in a science thread, we'll subtract another 20 points to give him an IQ of 85. Based upon his misunderstanding of geology ("Because if fossils happened the way that they have devised then there would be a huge layer depth change in the spot where the fossil was to represent the local flood"), we'll subtract another 20 points to give him an IQ of 65. And based upon his inappropriate and extremely odd formatting with all the dashes and indentations, we'll subtract another 20 points to give him an IQ of 45. His link works, so we'll give him 15 points for a final IQ of 60. --Percy

His link works, so we'll give him 15 points for a final IQ of 60. I believe there are other, deeper problems with IQ tests. I don't think they test for things like artistic and creative ability, for one thing. And I'm convinced that there is intelligence of some sort involved in both of these things. Assuming I'm correct, and if you're feeling generous, I propose adding 15 for the creativity displayed in the formatting style.Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. -- Thomas Jefferson We see monsters where science shows us windmills. -- Phat It has always struck me as odd that fundies devote so much time and effort into trying to find a naturalistic explanation for their mythical flood, while looking for magical explanations for things that actually happened. -- Dr. Adequate Howling about evidence is a conversation stopper, and it never stops to think if the claim could possibly be true -- foreveryoung

I'm ok with that, but I will be taking 15 more away for this one: "Then think of all the atoms in the universe,Which all have multiple electrons," Isn't it general knowledge that the most abundant element in the universe is hydrogen, and that hydrogen only has one electron? (for gamers in the know, this is a definite 50 DKP minus)

The spirit of this thread seems to have been subverted. It is not intended as a peanut gallery for the PNT forum, so can we please stop using it like one?

Well, i didn't exactly want to have to look up each individual word as i went along. Anyhow, I figured it out and it sucks because windows doesn't appear to actually translate everything. I'm just going to aquire an English version. Thanks anyways.
