Where do you live? (please, no more than 1 message per member)

I grew up on a cattle ranch 13 miles east of Paulina, OR and still think of that as home.
I live in Albany, between Salem and Eugene on I5, 10 miles east of Corvallis and Oregon State University.Albany was once called the "Armpit of Oregon" by former Governor Tom McCall because of stinky heavy industry. McCall, a Republican, inspired the environmental movement in Oregon. One of his sayings was "Come and visit Oregon, but don't stay" and he is also credited with "Don't Californicate Oregon".
