I jut hope that those clowns won't get anymore powerful than this
They're getting played up... Notice how Democratic primaries are getting more then three times the voters of Republican ones? I think it's safe to say they're doing nothing but fueling another fire

RiVerRaT is right.
Hi Riverrat. We have elected the enemy who aids and abets our enemies and insults our friends, a socialist closet Muslim who want's to destroy every aspect of the American way and change it as he promised he would do. Look what he and his party has done to the nation in such a short period of time.
He wants to inflate the $$, thereby stealing the sheeple's savings. This will impoverish all so as to attain totalitarian government. He want's all of the illegal emigrants he can get in so as to get re-elected and build his proposed civilian army of Revolutionary Guards as Iran has who break the legs of dissenters.
He is unionizing our work force who consistently support his party with the funds of the sheeple workers.
As I predicted on this board long before he was elected, he has undermined the war on terror, undermined the only stable nation in the Middle East, Israel and undermined the Constitution. He has undermined Congress and the balance of powers by appointing a batch of ultra-radical busybody czars who are accountable to no one, feverishly and stealthfully reorganizing our republic and entrenching the Obama Chicago thugocracy, patterned after Chivas's Venezuela.
As for the oil spill, the buck stops with government, well before Obama came on the scene, though he has made it worse. Instead of getting it done, he has tied things like setting up booms, etc up in bureaucracy. If government had allowed drilling closer to land in shallower water, it likely would not have happened and if it did, they wouldn't have to use robots to work on it as they have to in the deep. They would have had it fixed in a day or two.
I believe Obama is eyeing the position of UN Secretary General and predicting that's what he will become after he fiscally castrates America.
Like his 20 year mentor/pastor, he reveers the Nation Of Islam above the republic of America.
Now, before the folks who consistently label me as a racist for bashing Obama, the man running for Congress in Florida, blacker than Obama, Retired Col Allan West, is the man I would support for president in 2012.

BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW.
The immeasurable present eternally extends the infinite past and infinitely consumes the eternal future.

Fascism
Wiki has a discussion of fascism.
Here.
From that discussion it doesn't appear that we have any real fascist movement in the US at the moment.
Lots of assorted weirdos, but no true fascists. Unless you are using "fascist" as a generalized pejorative.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Their loudest bullshit nowadays is that Obama is taking away our rights. I know of no rights that have been taking away. Can anyone at all point out to me what rights I have lost?
The right not to buy health insurance?

Why are you people so insistent on finding new places to drill? Petrol is easily replaced. It's time we did it. It's time to force oil to not be profitable anymore.

So do I, but that would imply that people vote objectively and not put the "nuts" in office, something which I have not seen.

Riverrat, I don't know what planet you are living on, but here on Earth, bp is paying for every cent for this disaster. The newest estimate for the pricetag of this spill is between 6 to 30 billion dollars, and pb will be forced to pay every cent of it... and this isn't to mention all the subsequent fines and lawsuits.
bp's stock had the biggest fall in the shortest time in history. They lost a thousand points in 20 minutes. There is no one in the world who wants this disaster to end more than bp's CEO.
So, I don't know what planet you are living on, but they are doing everything humanly possible to end this.
I just talked to my brother, who is an engineer. When I mentioned the fact that there are smartasses like you who think you can do a better job at capping the spill more than all those boys bp has hired, he exploded and started ranting how stupid these smartasses are and the frustrations engineers often face from non-engineers who don't know squat about engineering.
Again, this disaster is literally killing bp and this ensures that this oil giant is doing everything humanly possible to end cap the spill.
So... I don't know why you're blaming comrade Obama for something that his Communist Party isn't even responsible for.
I see your still a big fucking idiot, and totally miss all my points and now your up to putting words in my mouth.
Do you realize how stupid your reply was? On one hand your sayingBP is going to handle everything, and pay for it all, and then you follow it up by saying that BP's stock is dropping.
NEWSFLASH, if BP goes under, who's going to pay for it? Or if it surpasses BP's assets, who will pay for it?
Not to mention that some of the damage will be irreversible, who's going to take care of that?
I also never said I could do a better job than an engineer, even though I have many times in my trade. Engineers are not always the brightest people in all my experiences, but they do have training. Engineers deal with things that are already known. When it comes time to truely MCGyver something, very few engineers will pass the grade. If they all goo, then they would all be considered great engineers.
There also happens to be a web-site dedicated to suggestions on what to do. Yes, I put my suggestions in. I deal with leaks all the time in my trade in a much smaller scale, and above water, but my head has been dealing with these types of circumstances for 28 years. I am perfectly capable of making a good suggestion on how to deal with this. Not to mention I have been working on the water also for 34 years, so I am familiar with maritime circumstances. I've built my own cranes (on a boat), water jets for doing pilings, and have raised over 50 sunken boats. All engineered from my high school drop-out head, thank you very much.
You do realize that Obama has canceled everything from his vacation to his foreign diplomatic trips to the economic reform bill just so he could personally oversee the work being done in the gulf coast to cap the spill, right?
Advice: take foot out of mouth.
Day late, dollar short. We don't need him to monitor it, we need him to send all we got at it. My foot was in your ass, not my mouth.

Re: Idiocy deserves no reply
Well then what do you expect to be done and what was the purpose of your post.
And do you think Obama is just sitting on his "black ass". Is he supposed to take over BP and direct their efforts.
He is over seeing their efforts. But that's not what I want.
Let's say this was a natural oil spill, one not caused by BP. Would it then be ok to send everything we got at it? Or would we still sit on our asses, and wait for it to stop?
It really doesn't matter who's fault it is at this point, more should be done. It should be a joint effort by the entire world if you ask me.

What do you want him to send to it? Do you want him to fire nukes at it? Do you want him declare war on the hole? What is it expect the Government to do about it? What do you think they can do about it? That's all Taz and I are really asking you

Since when is the United States Government equipped to deal with something like this? Who should they be getting to do it?
Why aren't we prepared for something like this? Isn't there like 30,000 oil rigs off our shores? Shouldn't we expect one of them to fail and cause a disaster like this?
HAve you watch the news with the governor of Louisiana complaining about the government preventing them from setting up methods of stopping the oil from reaching the shore?
Since when is the United States government so inept at trying to find a solution, or putting up a monetary incentive for someone who could? PArk a freakin nuke sub on it, I don't care, but at least try, we are not even trying, we are just leaving up to BP.
I wouldn't be bothered if we were trying and still couldn't do something about it.
I don't need a clue on how to stop it, all I need is the will, and to get off my silly ass and find a way, or delegate it to someone who can.
When I work in someones house, and a pipe breaks, I don't sit and wait for the water company to come and shut it off, I go into over drive and find a way to stop the leak. That is to prevent future damage, and to limit the damage that already is occurring. I don't care how the leak got started, that's not what this is about. What this is about is saving our oceans, and our shores, and our wild life.
