Then it is up to the poster to fix they typos. Spelling changes could potentially change the whole meaning of a post. What is on persons typo could be anothers point in an argument. I do not thinmods should fix typos, but if they are going to there needs to be full disclosure.In this case I am very curious as to what the correction was. I miss typos at times, but certain changes of what some might call a spelling error, may be changing the nature and flavour of my postThe word flavour may be considered a typo by many. My grandmother was one of the first people to teach me how to read and write. As she was Canadian she used some British English spellings. To this day I sometimes use -our or -re endings instead of the American versions. Drove my schoolteachers crazy. Use spellcheck. Firefox has it built in.

I think a message to the poster is appropriate explaining there is an issue. Editing the post is not the answer. Your change is not how I would have corrected it. I would never write anything as ridiculous as [and], this makes me look like I am incapable of writing an english sentence.My correction would have been.
Show how his theories are valid, how they do not defy scientific...This sentence has punch and leads to the next sentence. The tenor of the post was changed. That is a crock.
