Can someone take care of this off topic banter and useless comment on a thread where people are trying to debate/discuss a topic? It happens a lot with this poster: Panda Message 202 I was told by Admin to bring problems here. So, here I am.

If you don't mind analogies, it looks to me like you're going 35 mph in the fast line and are complaining that people are blowing their horns at you. I think everyone is curious how engaging in discussion with you constitutes scientific study of the supernatural. Myself included. You seem to be personalizing the debate. Discussing how to scientifically study the supernatural shouldn't require personal testimonies of faith. No one here wants Christians to lose their faith, but some Christians claim their religious beliefs are scientifically valid. This website examines that claim.

Anyone else annoyed by Chuck's debating style? I am.
The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.

I'm rather inclined to think that space being relative to time and time relative to location should make such a naive hankering to pin-point an ultimate origin of anything, an aspiration that is not even wrong. Message 13 Apparently the question of whether the Flood (and only the Flood) is hyperbole is off-topic in the thread - even though the OP claims that it quite definitely is. It seems odd enough to single out one story alone as being off-limits, but odder still to rule that a claim in the OP cannot be discussed. I think this must be the most bizarre ruling by an Admin that I've seen.

Hello, Would it be possible to get some modding for the Great Debate thread I am in with IamJoseph? new work since my return starts here Message 16 The 2 problems I am having at the moment is that IamJoseph is claiming that there is no dabate about the time of the authorship of the Hebrew Bible (even though I provided a 3000 word fully sourced post describing the debate) and his definition of what writing is. It appears that the only writing he will accept as writing is Paleo Hebrew, Hebrew and anything that came after Hebrew. Care to weigh in?

AdminPD is having experiencing computer problems, but perhaps AdminPhat will weigh in. This won't help, but let me say that IamJoseph has never been able to provide support for his positions, and he has proven immune to moderation. My approach has been to exclude him from threads that he begins to disrupt, but you're in a one-on-one, so I have no answers.

Hey Admin, I know this will be a difficult one to mod. What I would really like to know is if I have provided enough information. From what I can tell, no amount of information, regardless of quality or source is sufficient to prove any point. If there is no modding to move on, I will be stuck in a rut supplying quotes from every webpage and book supporting my position and being told it is not good enough by IMJ. This debate is educational for me, probably totally pointless for IMJ but hopefully interesting and educational for others. If I keep repeating the same thing for 300 messages, it wont achieve anything. cheers, BT
