Some got caught before they posted and some had their spam messages/topics deleted. The "All Topics" list doesn't even show it all.The last 13, and 18 of the last 20 registrations have been spammers.They do seem to come in clumps. Last night we had 2 on the online list at the same time. I would like to apologize in advance if this is incorrect, or not to be used in this way.I am new here, and trying to not rock the boat, I only have 20 or so posts, and I have enjoyed this site for a couple weeks (1st as a lurker).I have had zero complaints, it seems to be a well moderated site, that has active admins who police the site very effectively. I have not agreed with people here (such as Nonukes), but it was always cordial and fine (sometimes people do disagree with you).That was until today. I made a post in the coffee house (the really active subforum here) in a thread titled Bears. It appears that my post was something that the OP (Theodoric) did not agree with, and in his response decided that berrating me was appropriate and acceptable. I am sorry I have a different opinion but I think more tact would have been appropriate, rather than the school-yard behavior I encountered.Here is the response so based on my opinion I am either "not smart" or a "poser". I understand whais being said when one asks a question and both answers are negative. Then this person continues by asking a strawman question and answering it.I really would like to know if this kind of posting is generaly accepted here or not? I have not run into it until now, the vast majority of the poeple here are respectful, even to those of other opinions.
