Vimesy And Maddenstein
A post which merely postulates that a member is a troll ...
Well, yeah. Either Maddenstein is an enormous troll, or he is severely mentally ill, like that guy Dennis Somebody who keeps banging on about the prophecies of Nostradamus. There are only two ways it can be --- if you can think of a third, let's hear it. If he sincerely believes every word he says, he is a schizophrenic in need of medication. If he doesn't, he's a troll.
Either way, we don't want him on these forums. If he's genuinely mad, then it would be kinder not to talk to him. And if he's pretending to be mad, then screw him.
I have postulated that Maddenstein is genuinely ill, and I've been warned off from saying that. Vimesy suggests that he is merely a troll, and has been suspended for saying that. Well, it's one or the other, isn't it? He's a troll or he's schizophrenic. Out of me and Vimesy, one of us is right.

Apparently you guys do. Don't you see the blinking invitation for Markuze to start a thread? EvC wants crazy.

Announcement-Moose
Because there are so many people on the forum participating in the silly flood thread that a forum-wide announcement of a moderator message was clearly in order...
Are people here no longer expected to follow moderator requests the first time they are given?

Love your enemies!

I did overlook that fact. So scratch the off-topic part. The rest of my comment still stands, such racial / ethnic attacks should not be tolerated, IMO. But I guess Panda is a big boy, he can take care of himself

Flood geology
Regarding the Flood Geology thread: fossils and dating are essential to this discussion. Certainly they can be treated in limited detail, but to try to eliminate either would be inappropriate.
Fossils are index markers for both time and for paleoclimates. And there is no way to do worldwide geology without at least relative dating.
But when someone makes a claim that the flood was 250 million years ago, instead of 4,350 years ago, certainly fossils and dating become key issues.

Hi HBD,
Yes, Moose felt it was too far over the edge even for Free For All, so I guess it must have been pretty bad. Sometimes it can be a bit hard for participants to calibrate over there.

I have never been called jewish before and for some reason it actually feels like a minor compliment.

Lol. Had I known that I wouldn't have said anything
But really, I was kinda offended (and I am not that easily offended). I'm not Jewish nor do I even know anyone that's Jewish. It was just a needless racial insult that would have been equally insulting regardless of the racial / ethnic group referenced.
