Member Hooah, in Message 93 and a message above the one I've cited resorted to off topic personal attack on my usage of the English language and how I articulate. The purpose of this thread is to aire our thoughts on communication in the discussions and debates?
Hooah writes:
And you want to have a battle of wits with me??????? Let alone an articulation contest? Come the fuck on Buz, I at least know how to use spell-check.....
Construct an argument using the English language for once, then MAYBE I will have a proper discussion with you old man. Until then, I will chide you for fucking up the language you so proudly call your own.
Should members whose consistent communication MO consists of phrases like "Come the fuck on ........" and ".......fucking up the....."be critical of others, many of whom consider profanity to be improper and indecent in the public fora?
What are some of the things that irritate you relative to how members communicate and how to improve the manner in which we discuss and debate the issues?
Hooah, in Message 88, you made this charge:
You don't even speak English half the time and you claim to be some great patriot. Juan down the block speaks more proper English than you, Buz.
This is the place to help the alleged illiterate and alleged unarticulate ole man out by suggesting ways to improve on speaking proper English, etc, Hooah.
Perhaps, as well, you might defend some of your English wordage which other members consider offensive and improper in the public www fora for all, young and old to read.
(Perhaps Coffee house or Freeforall? )

Not using caps to start sentences or writing 'i' when one should write 'I'.
I have no problems with swearing.
It is an additional mode of communication to convey emotion: in many cases exasperation.
Oh, and the dreaded 'wall of text' can fuck off, too.

Say What You Mean
Member Hooah, in Message 93 and a message above the one I've cited resorted to off topic personal attack on my usage of the English language and how I articulate. The purpose of this thread is to aire our thoughts on communication in the discussions and debates?
How can I say this nicely? Buz, we put in much more effort to gauge your meanings than you put in to understanding ours. Rarely do you write a sentence that doesn't require some degree decryption. Example, I'm sure there would be a better way to reference "a message above the one I've cited" (sans comma). Might I suggest "message 88,", perhaps?
Edited by lyx2no, : Spelling.

The spell checker built into firefox immediately flagged that "aire". Well, okay, it also flags "firefox", so we do need a little human judgment to decide what to do about the flagged words. However, a little more attention to such details as spelling does enhance the readability of the message.
And then there's the overuse of color by some members, and the over use of extra large fonts by some members. There are places to use those, but overuse distracts from the message.

Member Hooah,
Surely you mean hooah212002, which is my member name, not just Hooah. Hooah is an Army term (from which my user-id IS derived).
The purpose of this thread is to aire our thoughts on communication in the discussions and debates?
Then perhaps you would like to start using spell-check if you are so concerned? You may also want to start writing in English like the rest of us and drop the Buz-speak.
Should members whose consistent communication MO consists of phrases like "Come the fuck on ........" and ".......fucking up the....."be critical of others, many of whom consider profanity to be improper and indecent in the public fora?
Aww, did you get sand in your pussy, Buz? Do little bitty words offend you? Fuck off.
Perhaps, as well, you might defend some of your English wordage which other members consider offensive and improper in the public www fora for all, young and old to read.
You mean words you find offensive?
I will be impressed if you were to write an entire post, in your own words, that is free of any grammatical errors. This is YOUR native language, Buz.

Articulation Demonstration
Frako, you are a good lil piggy, sweatheart! "wee wee".
Seriously, some of us are purists to varying degrees on what a proper message should be presented as.
Translation: Small i's and misspelled words irritate the frake out of us!
Truth be told, many folks have bad forum habits. Some of us can't help it. I try and read between the lines and see what someone is actually saying.

Phats 2 cents
hooah212002, I think that you don't like Buz. Should we not try and keep our feelings to ourselves in debates, or do you think that we should "be real" about how we feel towards one another?

Re: Phats 2 cents
I am a brash individual. I tell it like it is and I am not about to "be nice" just because some people are pussies. Curse words are just that: words. If you are offended by words, that's not my problem and you might want to get out into the real world.
I think that you don't like Buz.
The individual online persona that is Buzsaw is an ignorant, pig-headed, racist moron. No, I do not care for him all that much. But that doesn't matter, does it?
However, I address his posts individually and, when the time comes that he posts something of substance, I will agree with him. I have done this in the past.
Should we not try and keep our feelings to ourselves in debates,
You can if you want to......
do you think that we should "be real" about how we feel towards one another?
I don't know ANY of you, I comment on your posts that you make via your avatar. I take NO animosity from one post to the next. I address each and every post anew, so I don't think I have ANYTHING against any of you.
