Re: Internet Explorer Problem Fixed
It still wasn't, though it would at least let me log in. Then finally about 5 or 10 minutes ago I was again able to post a reply.

i just spent like an hour and half fixing my home network.
apparently, naming your workgroup and your router the same thing isn't cool. even though it's worked fine for the last, like, always. suddenly, "duplicate name exists on network". gr.

Internet Explorer 6 Question
Is anyone out there using IE6?
Any informed opinions/knowledge out there about how much IE6 is still used?
Reason I'm asking is that the new menu scheme doesn't display properly on IE6, and I'm trying to figure out what priority to place on fixing it.

Re: Internet Explorer 6 Question
Just did a quick search and it appears IE6 usage is now below 5% and dropping.

avatar
I also noticed I couldn't upload an avatar with IE9, but have no problem with the other browsers I tried, safari, FF, Chrome.
Until yesterday the only other browser I run was FF when I use Ubuntu OS.
Just something else to keep in mind, it would be low on my list of stuff to fix or worry about.

Re: avatar
I installed the fix last night around 8 PM Eastern Time US. Was avatar uploading still broken after that?

Re: avatar
Yea it dosent work now for me, I tried again just to see if it would, Unless I have to manually enter the location, which I didnt with chrome? I just tried to enter location manually and it wouldn't let me even type the location in.
Sorry to be a pain in the butt, I always thought it was something I was doing wrong. An avatar wasn't important to me, although I do like this one, perfect for this site!!!
Thanks, I would offer help, but I am just now getting interested in development the more I play with Ubuntu.

I think I'm going to be embarrassed for asking this but I keep getting this message:
Please Click on Reload or Refresh
The only refresh I can find is by right clicking on the site and that has no affect.
Help

Thanks jar
I kept getting the sign in big red letters so I thought there must be more that I should be doing but I couldn't see what.

Firefox 3.6.16 (current version)
Something I just noticed today - Often, but now always, when I left click on a link the link opens in the current tab (as expected). I, however, can't back to the previous page - The "back" button is grayed out.
Anyone else having this situation? Have a solution?
Moose
Added by edit - This is NOT a specific to evcforum.net problem. It also happens elsewhere.
Now using the new Firefox version 4, in Windows 7. The problems continue.
1) The "back" problem mentioned above. It seems to be some sort of history tracking problem.
2) The "refresh" button is sometimes non-functional. I need to re-enter the url to refresh.
3) In general, an ongoing stability problem - Firefox seems to crash a lot.
4) I wonder if Firefox problems relate to the forum menu problems Adminnemooseus has been having.
I suspect these are problems specific to my computer, not a general Firefox bug problem.
Anyway, anyone else having Firefox misbehavior problems?
Moose
