Not likely. I think it is more about some newer methods that have recently been found that might show signs of life.

What was important in the news conference
Most important point:
Scientist says that for his whole professional life he has been making a claim that this discovery shows to be wrong, and how absolutely exciting it was.
Second most important point:
Scientist says that his job is to challenge and test each point and try to refute them, and everyone happy he is there.

So should we look for forms that replace carbon with silicon, oxygen with sulfur or selenium, phosphorus with nitrogen...?
