Just for information:Anybody can set themselves as "inactive" in their profile page. And they can later set it as active. Making it inactive reduces visibility of profile information. You can login and read while inactive, but you cannot post.Presumably the moose decided that it was time to take a break from the forum. This may or may not have been discussed in the private admin discussion forum.In any case, given the events that happened recently, it is not that surprising that the moose decided to take a break for a while and to mark himself inactive for the duration.

There's too much analysis going on under the subtitle "An Ill Treated Moose's Last Straw."I'm changing to a new subtitle to honor Moose, who always encouraged us to use appropriate subtitles.I suspect this was a simple case of MUI (or MWI if you prefer that acronym). Here the "M" stands for "moderating" and I am using the acronyms in analogy with "DUI" and "DWI".

That may well be true. Nevertheless, I don't see any evidence of rage or hatred toward you.This can be a tough place to debate, particularly on some of the issues where creationists and evolutionists disagree. Most of the people here want to see some supporting evidence for claims about the world. Your problem is that you don't have any evidence. I'm sure that can be very frustrating, and it is probably that frustration which arouses your anger.I'm usually not frustrated in debates here. And that's partly because I never expect to persuade a creationist to change his/her mind. I figure that my job, in these debates, is to leave behind a clear argument for my position, one which can be read by the lurkers who follow along but don't join the debate.Maybe you can try changing your expectations in a similar way. Don't expect to persuade anybody to agree with you. Concentrate on leaving a clear argument for the lurkers to read. That is something you should be able to achieve. And if you make that your main goal here, you might find it less frustrating.

Weird.As I read that post, Dr Adequate was commenting on the general principle of seeing a religious counselor. There was nothing specific to you. Well, there's the problem already.You shouldn't be talking about personal feelings on a debate board. You might have such feelings, of course, but you should try to leave them out of the debate. We might be trying to destroy your arguments, but we have no interest in destroying you. If we were to meet, it might turn out that you are a really decent person that we would all appreciate as a friend. But that wouldn't stop us from trying to destroy those of your arguments that we think are wrong.Can you try to not take everything so personally?

Some of the other responses to Message 673 offer good suggestions.

I have not noticed, probably because I don't read his posts, nor do I read the threads where he is active.Have you tried clicking the "Peek" button? I seem to recall that if he is banned from using some words, you can see what he actually typed with "Peek". If the *** is still there with peek, then I think that means that he typed them himself.

And I had thought that you were against the idea that there is such a thing as "hate speech".
