Larni, there is a difference between the model being wrong and the mathematics being wrong. If the model uses incorrect assumptions it is very likely that it will produce the wrong results when the mathematics is done correctly. If there is a problem it is far more likely to be in the assumptions underlying the model, not in the mathematics.
