The sky isn't blue. Particles in the atmosphere filter the white light from the sun except for blue end of the spectrum. Just being a smart ass.

Damn it! Are you sure? Maybe they weren't honest Athiests/Evilutionists.
By the way, isn't it illegal to publish private IP addresses? I understand that it's just a way for you guys to keep records of spammers/trolls locations...but jerks as they may be, I think you're giving out their private info to hackers that can access their machines with that. IP addresses are like peoples SSI numbers.

IP addies aren't necessarily unique.
edited to add - and you will notice that when an IP addy is given, it isn't the full address

Des writes:
Just as some of you don't care that there are gaps in the theory of evolution,I don't care how the world tries to disect the scriptures
I'm getting tired of this. If only you think more than you write...
Contradictions are important coz they can shoot down theories and laws.
That's why I do not accept your religion. To ignore contradictions is to be dishonest with yourself.
Gaps on the other hand may be challenging but are not contradictions and hence do not disprove any theories or laws.
There are so much evidence for TOE that it takes faith not to believe in it. But belief are not absolute thruth.
Those who seek absolute thruth are furthest from the thruth.
So please, seek practical and logical thruth!

One thing that might help you is to undestand that there are many, in fact very many, Christians that find no conflict or issues with either evolution or the age of the Universe. Those of us who are here are also available to you as a source for relating Science and Christianity.

Re: There had to be a first!
Right. I know there are what appears to be contradictions in the Bible, and there appears to be many at first after being around the bible a while, however, I have looked into these things, and I have learned that they are not real contradictions, now that is true for me, I cannot say how another person would view it all.
I hated Algebra, it didn't hate me. If I do my very best to learn it, I am sure I'd like it, or at least handle it better.
Josh McDowell has a good book called: Evidence that Demands a Verdict. It can help those who really like the bible, but believe there are just too many contradictions. When I first tried to look at Darwins ideas, It appeared to me that he contradicted himself all over the place, until I had more material to look at. Most of us are Biased to some degree, and there are those so called Christians who do twist the words of Darwin for their own gain, but thats not going to score them any points with an Holy God. I am not religious, although I respect many who are. I'm not in a religion at all.
Being Christian can mean religion to some. I'm in a faith based relationship with God. I don't believe what man says about God in their own words unless it lines up with the bible. Preachers who stray from the ancient words of scripture cannot be trusted. Many say that man wrote the words. True, we know they did, yet we also know that they had to write what God wanted them to write.
I don't frown on science at all, or medicine, I really like them.
Science is very interesting to me and to many christians.
I personally always thought that explosions destroyed life, not create life, but the big bang idea needs futher study in my case.

Re: There had to be a first!
As I have mentioned many times, I have no conflict with science. I believe what the bible says, that is true, but I don't feel that it conflicts with all science or scientists. If you want me to understand Science better, I understand that too, and I am getting there. I don't believe that God and science conflict with one another. Everyone has their own interpretation of Science just as they do about the bible, but it's up to each one of us what we can and cannot accept as fact. Many Scientists do not agree with one another.

Re: There had to be a first!
Also, the choice in which theory to accept becomes a matter of faith.
I don't have enough faith to believe that random particles arranged themselves into ordered life.

Re: There had to be a first!
But there is where you may be missing something.
You mentioned
quote:
Everyone has their own interpretation of Science
but that is simply not the case.
There are not multiple interpretation of Science and it has nothing to do with what somene can or cannot accept.

Re: There had to be a first!
No. It is not a matter of FAITH. In fact, if you really want to understand Science, understand that Scientists have no faith in any theory and that the only thing they do is to show that the theory is wrong.

Re: There had to be a first!
I believe that you accept evolution and that you should be allowed to enjoy that, and have what you honestly believe to be true.
I cannot say that I hate evolution. I believe that good, honest, descent people believe in it, and that they are not a threat to those who don't actually believe in it. Remember, we are not trying to change another person's belief system, it's more likely that we are trying to understand one anothers way of believing. I don't have a problem with others who do believe in evolution. At the stage I'm at now,I honestly do not accept it as fact in my own life.
