and that taxes are paid properly.
Is it really necessary to charge for this sort of thing, though? I've done a fair bit of work recently without paying any taxes, not because I'm trying to avoid tax (I'd quite like to have my public health insurance paid), but because in order to be doing this work officially and being on the tax radar I'd need a self-employment licence which costs money - money which I kind of need to pay for rent and food and the like. I'd have paid more taxes were I able to do so without this silly licence, as I could when I did freelance work in the UK.
It's counter-productive burueacracy.
