While creating a new message - every post in that thread is displayed in the box below the input box.This can be 1000's of posts, which eventually starts making my browser unhappy as more and more memory is used.

Ah - I hadn't noticed this difference previously. Rather than limiting thread lengths, I would prefer to limit the number of 'past posts' displayed when making a 'general post'.

I have found a very tiny bug.If you submit a message with
[size=0]Some text[/size]
the text appears suitably small.But if you edit that message then it is changed to
[size]Some text[/size]
(note the missing '=0')Obviously this is not a 'show stopper'.

A bug report for you! If you change a vote (i.e. click a symbol twice) the symbols disappear completely until you refresh the page.

I am using FF4 and it also happens in IE8.

I think you are agreeing with my suggestion, but I am not sure - so just in case:
The difference between inclusive and exclusive is simply size. (i.e. If the exclusive list is larger than the inclusive list then you make the list inclusive).
If you wish to allow everyone, you change the list to 'exclusive' and leave it empty.
But... ...if you are going to include groups, then you will need two lists so that you can include GroupA but exclude MemberB (who is a member of GroupA). Normally, when someone suggests giving that much flexibility to users I would expect stupid or abusive behaviour.
e.g. Quickly joining a creationist group so that they can post abuse in a 'creationist only' thread or not joining any groups and then not understanding why they can't post in many threads.
I expect a lot a tweaking being needed on a system like that.

I was thinking of something similar to Phat's idea the other day.
But I then thought: don't browsers already have bookmarks...?So I was left wondering what a second tier of bookmarks would add to the 'user experience'.
About the only think I thought might be additional functionality is having a "Bookmark this message" button which would add a direct link to that message to the browser's bookmarks.
(It is already possible to bookmark individual messages in your browser - but this would make it a little less fiddly.)

Yes, it is the unclosed tag that is making the text bold, but I would suggest that the formatting crossing over into the signature and posting 'history' could be considered a bug.
(Obviously, it is not a 'showstopper' though.)Maybe this will show the problem better.
