I would say, in general terms, as the term is used in cultures, what is regarded as a deviation from the mainstream, relative to religion.
Nothing in the definition you gave speaks about "a deviation from the mainstream" or "relative to religion". That's something that you made up to exclude your religion from being called occult. Read the definition again:
