I had a number of reactions to the following. See if yours are in the same order as mine or if you have any that I didn't have (apologies if this has been discussed. I did a search and didn't find anything).
1. Total disbelief, I had to read it 3 times to be sure it was saying what it was saying
2. Anger that someone as ignorant of Stephen Hawking would make such a statement.
3. Rolled about on the floor, suffering from breathing dfficulties, commonly called hee-ing and hawing like a donkey.
In the debate about health reforms in the US an editorial in Investors Business Daily said
"people such as scientist Stephen Hawking wouldn't have a chance in the UK, where the National Health Service would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless."
