chat is still empty
It may be the dreaded timezones,but I've yet to see speak anybody on chat. And just to confirm: does everybody use the ''chat lobby'' or do I need to do something else after logging on? And why is the chat still displayed as empty in the chatting now bar while I'm logged on? Still being implemented I guess.

I think there's a time delay. There are periodic checks for who is in chat. What shows is who was in chat at the most recent of those periodic checks. And note that I am guessing here.

Anyone been chatting? I tried getting in, can't. It keeps asking if I want to Run java script, if I remember correctly. I can't think exactly what it was saying at the moment but it asked if I wanted to Run something. Maybe it was run addonchat, not sure (the only way it asks if I want to run the program is if I shutdown the computer and start it up again. Signing out and clearing cookies and coming back doesn't do it if I already tried once)...so when I did click yes, nothing happened. Just a blank white screen. Edited by Chuck77, : No reason given. I think there is a problem with the Java plugin. I successfully installed the Java plugin required by the chat-room at home (a few days ago). But now the plugin links appear broken when I try to install it at work. It appears that I can no longer download and install the Java Runtime Environment 1.6 u29. Edited by Panda, : No reason given.

Only a little. But it does work. If you are blocking javascript (as I do with "noscript"), then you have to allow scripting from addonchat.com. I'm using linux. I have not tried from a windows box.
