Have you even considered the possibility that you misinterpreted what I said?
This is just like that time you were accusing PD of changing her position when in fact all you did was misread something she said at the beginning of the thread and then the whole time you're pressing her into sticking to the thing that she never even said but you just thought she said it because you read her wrong. You're doing it again here to me and mod.
I think your maligning Crash's character, that's certainly not the Crash that I know. He would never intentional misrepresent someone, never. In fact, many people have publicly stated they are often swayed by Crash. So there. Your way, WAYYYY off base CS, you should be ashamed of yourself. Please apologize.

If it's a misunderstanding then why wouldn't PD or Dronester have immediately said "whoops, slow your roll there Crash, you misunderstood me. Let me clarify.
Oh my God, I just snorted cocacola through my nose and on to my computer screen. It is exquisitely painful, but damn, that is some jolly good stuff Crash! You are THE funniest person on the web.
Oni, even though you are not getting paid for this experience, can you use some of this in your stand up act? It's gold Oni, GOLD!!!

You, PD, and now CS only come up with this "misunderstanding" excuse when you're losing the argument.

All because you people, for no reason at all, think I'm such an asshole that admitting I might be right about even one goddamn thing is just too much.
"for no reason at all"?
Wow, just wow. You know Crash, I shouldn't laugh at you, and I apologize for my recent posts. It seems you DO have some type of mental impairment/disability/delusion. Seriously, there's no shame in finding a good therapist and working it out.
Seriously.

"Almost"?
CS's, yours, and especially Mod's patience-of-a-saint replies have been so complete and clear I could not possibly add anything more to your arguments except . . .
When I was in NYC a few weeks ago, I went to the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria. I got to meet my boyhood-idol, special effects artist Rick Baker. I would have loved to have been his UNPAID assistant as a teen or in my 20s. My life, surely, would have turned out much different from that valuable experience.

The value of unpaid work . . .
Crash writes:
I maintain that you would have gotten more experience - more real, marketable experience you could put on a resume and use to get a job - working as a makeup artist instead of watching Rick Baker work as a makeup artist. And nobody can explain how I'm wrong about that.
Another straw man. Who is arguing that a professional make-up artist would get LESS marketable experience than a helper? What is wrong with you?
However, this IS about degrees of experience as Mod had explained calmly and repeatedly. It's about getting a small or large degree of advantage over the NON-experienced on a resume.
BEST on resume: Actually working as a make-up artist.
BETTER on resume: non-paid work as Academy Award winner Baker's helper.
WORST on resume: NO experience what-so-ever.
Of the LAST TWO options, at face-value, which is the MORE valuable/experienced candidate for a make-up position?

Yeah, that Mod! Don't get me started on his intellectually lazy-ass posts. He is like a rug on valium.
