Re: prediction
Coragyps writes:
You read it here first: I agree with Bluescat about arrogance and stupidity, and would like to add profound ignorance to the list. Therefore, I will predict that the November vote here in Scurry County, Texas, will be in excess of 80% for Romney/Ryan.
Last time out, Howard County went 75% for McCain/Palin so I predict a similar outcome next round.
As for arrogance, stupidity, and profound ignorance, I would like to add hatred. Isn't everything bigger in Texas?
To intentionally vote to take money away from the bottom 99.99% to enrich the top .01% takes more hatred of others, and indeed self-hate, than I will ever possibly understand.

I'm only sitting out the presidential election.
Being in a swing state like New Hampshire, at least your vote for president would count a lot more than mine will.
Sure wish the electoral college was abolished, then our votes would be equal. As it stands now, I and those few other dissenters are functionally disenfranchised from voting for president in the one party dictatorship that is Texas.
Red state, indeed.

Good ol' Buzsaw.
Been here over nine years and never heard of Godwin's Law.
You know you could always click on the link above, it's not a satanic spellchecker.
Love the thread subtitle, how appropriate.

Re: Ryan Good; Very Good ... for Democrats

Ryan's education is far above Romney.
I guess you are not referring to formal education.
From the respective wiki's:
quote:
Ryan was awarded his B.A. in 1992 with a double major in economics and political science.
Whereas in regard to Romney:
quote:
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with highest honors in 1971,[45] and gave commencement addresses to both the College of Humanities and to the whole of BYU.
quote:
Thus he became one of only fifteen students to enroll at the recently created joint Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration four-year program coordinated between Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.
quote:
He graduated in 1975 cum laude from the law school, in the top third of that class, and was named a Baker Scholar for graduating in the top five percent of his business school class.
So, Ryan has one BA with a double major in economics and political science while Romney has a BA, an MBA, and a JD.
Oops.
