I believe he represents a very large portion of the American populace. Just blame all their problems on the health care reform.
Yes, but they were all going to vote Republican anyway.

Was it recklessness that caused the financial collapse or was it introduction of sub prime lending in the nineties and the pressure put on banks to lend to people who had no business borrowing money that caused it?
As usual, the essential causal factors were in fact real things and not things that conservatives made up in their heads.

Note where these graphs go up and where they go down.

Note how historically ,turtle like, slow the graphs have moved up. No other recovery in history has been this pathetic. It is very similar to stagnant to slow growth experience under the policies of FDR.
So the aftermath of one financial catastrophe is similar to another.
Obviously, then, the people to blame are not the people who caused the catastrophes, but the people who managed the aftermath, because ...
The fact of the matter is that economies usually recover very vigorously if business know what it is dealing with. They didn't know what was going to happen from one day to the next with the FDR administration. Ditto for the obama administration.
What don't they know, and why don't they know it? Are they stupid? (That would explain a lot.)
That uncertainty combined with anti business rhetoric spewing out from this administration on a daily basis ...
... ah, yes, the classic double-whammy of two things you made up in your head.
If government gets completely out of the way, an economy naturally grows its GDP at 7% a year.
And you know this how?
We should be down to 5 percent REAL unemployment by now, not the FAKE 8.2 percent put out by the bureau of labor statistics. We certainly should not be at the REAL 11.2 % unemployment that we are experiencing now. This figure is what you get when you use the the number of people in the labor force when obama took office. It is the same method that was used during the early part of the reagan administration. There was no monkey business in the jobs numbers then.
If you don't know how the BLS calculates unemployment, I can find you some links.

Name one thing the conservatives made up in their heads.
Well, the first thing that springs to mind is your fatuous rubbish about "the pressure put on banks to lend to people who had no business borrowing money".
It's a bit disgusting, isn't it? The causes of the crisis were clear to anyone who had anything to do with finance. But most of the U.S. population don't. So the the rightist propaganda-masters said to themselves ... hey, is there some ludicrous, absurd, contemptible way that we can blame this on black people?
This combines two of their favorite things, absolving their paymasters of responsibility, and racebaiting. And so, just when you thought they couldn't sink any lower, they did.

Re: BAIN
His recent spin of "retroactively" retiring in 1999 requires even the most ignorant of the nattering naybobs of nutjobbery to suspend all common sense.
Why didn't Newt think of that? "No, I never committed adultery ... I divorced my wives retroactively."

Everyone one of them outside of the physical sciences that I've met is one. Lots of tree huggers in the geology department too.
I had always supposed that a Marxist was one who followed the teachings of Karl Marx. If you now want to change the definition so that it means a person who snuggles with trees, then I would suggest that your powers to alter the English language may not be so extensive as you may imagine.

But that's not why they're pissed. He's a Nobel Peace Prize recipient and is every bit the warlord GWB was.
Certainly the number of wars that they've started are within an order of magnitude, so your calculation is roughly accurate.

Re: Deluded O=bomers Of America
Rather, Taz and Obama lived in Illinois for a period of time. He's a lot more than shady. He's completely stealth. The Obama sheeple of Americal who support him , when he was elected and after three plus years, still know nothing about this tyrant.
Quite so. With a low cunning typical of the man, he has not actually committed any actual acts of tyranny. This has fooled the sheeple into thinking that he's not a tyrant, on the simplistic grounds that he doesn't behave like one in any way whatsoever. But you have the marvelous penetrating intellect we've all come to know and respect, and so you know that whatever he does, he's a tyrant. After all, he's black, isn't he? You've just got to look at the color of the man's skin to realize that no matter what he actually does, he's in the wrong.

Re: Romney's London farce
I'm curious, how are Romney's diplomatic fuck-ups on his London trip playing in the US? Are they getting air time? Are Republicans embarrassed by his ineptitude?
Of course Republicans are embarrassed by his ineptitude. You know what Republicans are like, every time they do something obviously stupid and crass they hide their faces in shame. That's why Michele Bachmann quit political life and joined a convent, remember?
Ah, just kidding. No, in fact their propaganda department is attacking the Brits for being offended, and threatening them with apparently unspeakable consequences if they go on being insulted by the wise words of the Chosen One:
Fox News co-host Brian Kilmeade is telling the British people to back off GOP hopeful Mitt Romney after a series of gaffes by the candidate outraged the country.
I think the British press better back off, and so should the officials, Kilmeade warned. This guy could be president.
Kilmeade does not spell out exactly how Romney will use his mighty powers of maybe-being-president-one-day to punish the British press, but clearly these powers are fairly awesome. Imaginary superpowers usually are.

Romney will announce his running-mate in Virginia on Saturday. Here's a run-down of some of the more likely candidates
Al Capone
Pro: Makes Romney look like Mr Clean by comparison.
Con: Dead.
One of Mitt Romney's dressage horses
Pro: Guaranteed not to make any gaffes.
Con: May reinforce Romney's "out-of-touch" image by reminding the voters that most people don't own dressage horses.
A stryrofoam cup
Pro: Can be used to hold coffee.
Con:: Risks producing a "bottom-heavy" ticket. As one Republican insider explained: "We're worried that Mitt may be overshadowed by the cup's charm, warmth, and charisma."
Darth Vader
Pro: Could kill Biden in the debates. Literally.
Con: Invites unflattering comparisons between Mitt Romney and the Emperor Palpatine.
A chicken sandwich
Pro: Apparently the only thing that can energize the Republican base nowadays.
Con: Viewed by many as a single-issue candidate. As one insider commented: "We know the sandwich hates gays, but what are its views on fiscal policy?"
Sarah Palin
Haha, just kidding.

Re: Ryan Good; Very Good ... for Democrats
Yes, it's a fine question.
Ryan will mobilize the vote ... among people who want to raise taxes on the poor, turn medicare into a voucher system, and make a zygote legally a person from the moment of fertilization.
Also, Ryan will mobilize the vote ... among people who don't want to raise taxes on the poor, don't want to turn medicare into a voucher system, and don't want to make a zygote legally a person from the moment of fertilization.
My bet is that that it's that last one that will really screw him. He'll get out the vote all right.

Re: Negative Ads
There is nothing lying about that ad. Everyone who isn't brainwashed knows obama believes exactly that....people who are successful did not achieve that success on their own merits.
You are not so stupid that you don't know what he meant. You are not such a drooling retarded halfwit that you don't know what he meant. You are not such a pitiful gibbering lunatic that you don't know what he meant. You are not such a driveling cretinous mentally-incapable idiot that you don't know what he meant. So perhaps you could stop pretending that you really are that stupid in order to score a political point which you won't actually score 'cos of you talking to sane people.
