I prefer a two hand modified Weaver.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I don't think you can sell firearms on eBay.

Re: Cost?
I used buy my ammo much the same way, but phone instead of online.
Back a few (well maybe more than just a few) years ago when I was doing lots of competitive shooting it was not unusual for me to buy and use several bricks (1000 rounds) of ammo a month.
I don't see the problem?

Re: Inclusive
huh?
There are tens of millions of americans who are anxiously and joyfully waiting to vote for a president who gives a weekly go-ahead to assassinate nearly random people (including fellow americans).
A go ahead to assassinate nearly random people?
Do you have any support for that assertion?

Okay, so once again it is just you making unsupported and by your own admission false, assertions.
Got it.

on automatic firearms
As I mentioned to you over in the Colorado thread, it is legal to have fully automatic firearm but I need to have a full criminal background check, current finger prints registered and purchase a tax stamp for each firearm. I also need to agree to having the weapon kept in a safe and have the tax stamp for that firearm with it during transportation and agree to allow the BATF to enter my home for inspection and verification that the terms and conditions are being met.

Re: on automatic firearms
Now do you honestly think you can carry that machine gun around with you in public.
Not today but during my lifetime, sure you could, and I really hope it will be true once again during my lifetime.
I'm actually a strong supporter of unlimited open carry, and wish it were legal to open carry all over the US.
The big reason that I favor open carry is that I really believe that would help change the current caricature of gun owners. In a half century, including period when I carried openly, period when I concealed carry, times when I did not carry, I have yet to shoot anyone; even those that needed shooting.

Re: on automatic firearms
I'm not against some restrictions but I have nothing against everyone openly carrying even an Uzi (not all that reliable) and I have no idea now when the next average citizen is gonna snap and drive a car into a crowd.
I personally would favor stronger training and certification for carrying a firearm (even an Uzi) but even stronger training and certification before being allowed to drive a car.

Re: on automatic firearms
Lots of Israelis I hear carry at all times.
But the issue is not so much about guns as it is about US society and culture IMHO. As I mentioned over in Message 164 of the Colorado thread, when I was growing up guns were near ubiquitous and not just out in the boonies. Just about every family I knew had a gun rack in the den or shotgun by the door, kids often went out hunting often alone or in pairs, seeing an '94 or Marlin in the gun rack of a pickup sitting with doors unlocked and windows open was far more common than seeing a pickup with one, seeing someone wearing a holster and a S&W 1917 or even a Colt slabside wouldn't even rate notice. But there weren't that many shootings and if you touched someones gun without permission you should expect a slap alongside the head from the nearest adult, related or unrelated.

Re: on automatic firearms
Actually, read what I write.
No where did I say anything about arming everyone.
What I said was that I prefer open carry, having any firearms out where everyone can see them.

Re: on automatic firearms
I see that YOU think it is not a good idea.
I disagree.
Unlimited Open Carry does not mean that there must be no limitation, but it does mean that if someone carries it should be open, displayed.

on open carry
I just disagree with you.
I see someone openly carrying a firearm as less a threat than someone carrying a concealed firearm.
