Sports fan mentality? I've never been a sports fan, so you'll have to explain what it is you mean by this.
He's lied about things that weren't beneficial at all.

These people just lie for no reason at all except to lie. That's what worries us.
If this is an honest example of Ryan's comfort with telling lies, then that's fine. My primary point has been in relation to Theo's claim that "This one may resonate with the American people because it is so obvious and so egregious."
If this lie resonates with the American people more so than the others, then, as I said, "it is a sad fact that speaks to the gullibility of those people who are more interested in a candidate's running times than his political and economic policies."
Of course, there is no reason I can see why this lie should get more attention; it is one of the tamer ones told so far. But Theo seems to think it's a big one, though I can't tell why, except that perhaps he suffers from the 'sports fan mentality' you mentioned.
