My whole point is that same gender attraction need not be expressed on a sexual level. There may well be a higher and nobler purpose for the attraaction than sex. There is nothing immoral about attraction...only motives and actions(behaviors)
So you are going to maintain the "its OK to be gay, as long as you don't have gay sex" stance? Then why not apply this to everyone, "its OK to be a bigoted asshole and hate people as long as you don't burn any blackfolk"
Why do you care about other peoples sexual predilections?

"Debate is an art form. It is about the winning of arguments. It is not about the discovery of truth. There are certain rules and procedures to debate that really have nothing to do with establishing fact ” which creationists have mastered. Some of those rules are: never say anything positive about your own position because it can be attacked, but chip away at what appear to be the weaknesses in your opponent's position. They are good at that. I don't think I could beat the creationists at debate. I can tie them. But in courtrooms they are terrible, because in courtrooms you cannot give speeches. In a courtroom you have to answer direct questions about the positive status of your belief. We destroyed them in Arkansas. On the second day of the two-week trial we had our victory party!"

Isn't that a general tenet of liberalism closely allied to concepts like freedom of speech? It's why people who think that the 'historian' and holocaust denier David Irving is a reprehensible git can still think he shouldn't be locked up for lecturing neo-nazis with racist bollocks.
We might try and educate people but should we be trying to dictate what people can think?

In one way, we don't really, which is why we want them to have the choice available for them if they wish to get married.
In the other way, we care because we want them to have the choice available for them if they wish to get married.
The better question is why do you people care so much if gays are allowed to be married? If you don't like it, don't get married with another man. Why drag the whole world down with you?
By the way, are you still pretending like our conversation about the experimental procedure that "cured" homosexuality in animal never existed? Everytime I remind you of that, you always say "sure, I remember" and then turn around and claim you've never seen anything at all that would indicate homosexuality is anything but a choice. This attitude is confusing me.

Owing to the deficiency of the English language, I have occasionally used the academic jargon generator to produce phrases that even I don't fully understand. The jargons are not meant to offend anyone or to insult anyone's intelligence!

Because the term Marriage is used in thousands of laws and regulations. The issue of same sex marriage is not one of morality but of human rights.

I am not advocating any limit to free thought, I am demonstrating the inanity of this way of thinking. Instead of reading into what I say, try reading what I say.

Yes...that WAS true...but the dietary Mosaic laws were/are trumped by GRACE under Jesus...only Idolatry and Homosexuality carried over to "Under Grace" as maintaining the status of being "Abominations"

Saying something isn't OK, isn't saying something should be illegal, though that was a wonderful strawman. Way to misrepresent.

Sorry but irrelevant.
If you think homosexuality is immoral, then don't have sex with someone of your sex.
But you should still support same-sex marriage, after all, that is what Jesus would do.

Re: Botrh sides of bigotry
Its my 'marriage institution' too. I got a wife and two kids. Never felt gay marriage threatened me and mine in any way. So its not "other peoples marriage institutions" to me. And I think you should reread the dictionary for 'Rhetorical' I don't think you understand the usage.

P.S. This is where you will probably cut and paste from some online dictionary...

Ever read:
Pro 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so [is] he...
In everyday words... You are what you think on...and if you are having lusts towards the same sex... actions notwithstanding!...it is as if you did...remember:
Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Lust has no gender!
