Those opinions *are* my own. My biome is as much a part of "me" as my cerebral cortex.

There are lots of non-DNA vectors to our opinions. My personal biome is not unique in that regard.And since without it I could not live my biome can be seen as yet another bodily organ required to sustain my existence and thus has as much right to my opinions as my DNA. I am. You are. We all are nothing more than the complex survival vessels for those evolved self-replicators that started this whole "life" thing off billions of years ago.
