Well, then...do so. There is no shortage of funding with the private donors that would be willing to fund a biblical science journey. The religious do have a few members who have money and are willing to spend in on things like this. However, few are trying to do so and those that do come up with the same answers as secular geologists, unless they are purposely excluding data because it does not conform to their idea.
The biggest difference between the religious and scientists is that if you creationists were able to get out in the field and find evidence to support you (along with all the other facts that must fit within the paradigm) scientists would be willing to listen to and study your hypothesis. On the other hand, no matter the evidence that scientists discover, the religious will refuse because, well, honestly, they believe that their immortal soul is at stake. Quite a gamble once the clergy has you convinced of that, and so you must hide your head in the sand about certain evidences.
So, here it is, the creationist task:
Receive funding from wealthy religious donor for research
Research hypothesis that is testable and falsifiable about deity
Gather evidence, evaluate evidence without removing any because it disagrees
Repeat evidence and present to scientists.
Then the last step depends on what is found, either:
Find evidence for God's existence, publish, win Nobel Prize
or
Find more confirming evidence for the theories that are already being discussed in scientific circles, realize you were incorrect and either return to step 1 for new hypothesis or realize that perhaps science is only trying to explain the evidence that we do have...
