remember - a pound is a unit of weight. a kilogram is a unit of mass.
on the earth's surface 2.2 kilograms WEIGHS about a pound. yes, on the moon a gathering of gold enough to weigh a pound on the scale on the moon would still weigh a pound, but it would be about 6 times as much gold.
2.2 kg of gold would weigh about a pound on earth, but only 1/6th of a pound on the moon, but it still be 2.2 kg.
please keep weight and mass separated in your brain.
