I think kofh2u was off-topic when he posted this list of absurdities, but I wanted to respond. At least that way he would know how this Democrat feels about his list. Not that it will help of course...

Less guns seem to mean less gun killings. I've seen people argue against that, but so far nobody has presented any evidence. Do away with ridiculous drug laws, yes. This Democrat doesn't think heroin needs to be sold at CVS. However, marijuana should be legal. We waste law enforcement time and energy on marijuana. I'd rather that time and money be spent on catching real bad guys.. murderers, rapists, that sort of thing..
The Democrat solution for the teenage pregnancies is to do away with the babies.
Partially correct I suppose. If we lower the rate of teenage pregnancy, we will do away with babies born by teens. You know how this Democrat thinks we can do that? Education. Real sex education. Lies and turning a blind eye have gotten us nowhere.
The Democrat solution for the Economic recession is to place a Tax on successful business.
Simplifying things a bit aren't you? It's kinda like me saying Republicans think the solution is to starve out the poor and middle class so the rich can get richer. In reality, this Democrat wants to raise income tax rates on the wealthiest, close tax loopholes, hold businesses responsible for paying their share of taxes in this country AND cut spending. The problem is, making a mountain out of a mole hill (Cut public radio and television spending! Get rid of teachers!) and making a mole hill out of a mountain (Defense spending must never be lowered!)
The Democratic solution for Unemployment is to extend the Unemployment Checks.
We could just let our poor starve. Very Christian. This Democrat thinks we need to bring manufacturing back to the United States, even if it means you can only afford to buy ONE upgrade for your IPhone this year instead of one every six months because the cost has increased. But that hurts business. They can't make as much profit. A profit? Yes. A damn good profit? Yes.
The Democrat solution for fat kids is to investigate Fast Food restaurants.
This Democrats solution is to investigate why it is our children are so unhealthy. Part of that solution is, yes, the fast food diet. It's also play time. But then Republicans got all huffy when any Democrat suggests having your kid get off the couch. So what is YOUR answer? Do nothing?
The Democrat solution for War is to do away with the military deterrent.
I've never seen a politician talk about dismantling the military. Perhaps you can supply me with a link? This Democrat sees a whole bunch of wasteful spending in the military, and I haven't even done the deep digging. We still need defense. We still need a military. Is there any reason why we have to bankrupt our country to have the "biggest dick" on the planet?
The Democrat solution for the school bully is to arrest teachers for grabbing them.
This Democrats answer is to hold the child and parents responsible for the actions. No teacher should strike my child. Anyway, this Democrat is trained in Aikido. This Democrats children will be able to defend themselves against a bully. If they get suspended for fighting for defending themselves, we will have that talk at home. I fully understand both the need to punish those who act violently AND the need to teach my children how to react to violence properly.
As for the ones I haven't addressed... well, you get the point. Oddly enough, this Democrats main solution is education. Educating our youth to prepare for a better tomorrow. Funny, you find it one of our greatest problems.
