somewhere in the Biological forum, there's a thread that got into this subject--as a tangent. Morality, Charity According to Evolutionsomewhere in there, we ended up discussing how homosexuality could evolve.The conclusion--it confers an evolutionary advantage in the family--helping offspring to survive. Because the homosexual isn't having children, he can focus his attention on helping to care for the children in his extened family--and the gene (if it is genetic) could be passed on--being part of a family with a homosexual increases you're chance of actually having the gene. My memory, though, if very fuzzy on this. explore the thread and you'll find it in there.At least you won't have to be labelled as being anti-gay

you like patently false statements, don't you? as you can guess--wrong. the ToE is dependent on getting your genes passed on. your statement discludes (i may have made that up?) all the asexually reproducing organims. and if you don't have children, but you're sister or brother does, what do you generally do? you help your sister/brother with raising them--they do have a good chunck of the same genes you do--they are family.In my own personal experience:I have an aunt, mom's sister, who couldn't have children. She has spent more money on my brother and cousins (mom's side of family) and me than any other aunt/uncle. She has also done more for us. If she had kids of her own, she wouldn't have. of course, this one example won't establish causality, but it's a start. someone here probably has a study to link for this.

isn't it great to see your typical creationist use evolution to support his bigotry?you know the problem with your argument is? I'd go check out some of razd's posts on this thread--the ones discussing the bees and ants (and some other organisms). problem is--there are many species where every member is not involved with the act of procreation. hmm--kind of shoots down the argument, huh. unless you want to use it to justify your social darwinistic bigotry. at which point the evidence won't matter.
